Hello;
My name is Dewey and will go by Dewey643. I am currently living in the Bluffton,In. area. I am currently taking music lessons at Sweetwater Sound in
Ft. Wayne,In. under the instruction of Mr. Tom Porter. I play a Fender Stratocaster guitar in brown sunburst and my amp is a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III 40 watt tube amp that has awesome sound IMO! I was referred to this site by Wayne. Since I am learning Blues music,...you could safely say that B.B. King is becoming an influence along with Eric Clapton just to name a couple.
But Blues isn't my only thing,...I am learning classic country as well under the same teacher.My other activities include fishing,boating,camping,and amateur radio(my call sign being KC9SYJ).That's about it for now.

Welcome hombre. I'm in the Chicago area and sometimes wish I were a little closer to SW...even though we have plenty of great shops here too.

Hi I'm Doc Pepper, from Albuquerque, NM. Kind of a loner. Have played at guitar for about 50 years, gone thru tons of gear, looking for that "elusive" tone. Finally realized that if the old masters of blues, country, and rock could do it with the equipment they had back then, why couldn't I? Well, none of that equipment came with a talent button. I quit trying to do like them, and found what tickled my ears. That seems to work for me.

Some of the things I've learned are that if you want your amp to sound like "that amp"....you gotta buy "that amp". Same with electric guitars. I'm partial to my Peavey Delta Blues 115. My preferences for guitars are G&L Tribute Comanche and Tribute SH Bluesboy, and my Gibby Les Paul Studio. For Acoustic, I have a 40 year old Sigma, made in Japan. I've an RP255 by Digitech that I don't use all that much.

That's about it, except that after browsing the board, I see a lot of nice people here.
