1998, a band I never heard of opens for MOrbid Angel. Just them as the opener. They start with this track, Im like "Whats up with these knuckleheads and the egyptian shit?" Then, their chunky guitars come in with the computer fed backing tracks. Im like, "At least the tone is fat."Then the lights hit and that opening double bass riff hits, and Im like "Sheeiitt! Let me punch this dude next to me in the face!" lol Not saying they blew M.A off the stage that night. Thats hard to do, imo. But it was a tight show with both bands really crushing.
Plus I got to hang with Trey afterward. He just came up to me after the show, put out his hand, introduced himself and said to come on back and have a beer.. Still have no idea why, or if thats something he did back then, but pretty cool to have your fave guitarist at the time just pick you out of the lingering crowd and want to chill out and chat for a bit.. No complaints..

I think this album has held up better than pretty much any other of the era of"grunge". This really was a masterpiece.. And that huge sustaining guitar tone is bad ass and a unique take.. The tone and production on this is REALLY good..
