I saw everybody jogging and walking dogs around here. People I have never seen before. Behind my house is "was" a giant field of woods. They plowed them all down, and are building 140 houses  I need to move more country. I guess i'll get my new speakers and guitar when crap opens again. I have money to buy crap, and can't lol.

I wasn't feeling it with the crap I bought, so I sold it. I kept the eq and cab. I think i'm just going to get new speakers, and a head.

What did you sell?

I am still getting used to the evh 5153 50w I got, and connecting it to different effects units.

The Quilter and tech 21 PL1 I bought. I did a little while ago buy this guys B-52 Lg100 head and footswitch. It was only 100 bucks. Its not bad with the EQ in the loop. Its good enough for now.

Ordered a bunch of tools, and completely setup my Strat today. Neck relief and everything. It plays great now. Tools are pricey, but the results are worth it. Now I just need to get some V30s. So how do you like the 5153? Did you get the EL34 or 6L6 version?

I got the 6L6. I generally always like 6L6s better. I am liking it more. I didn't love it at first, and considered sending it back. I got it for a good price, so I kind of hated to give up so easy. After changing some Eminence speakers to Celestion, and learning the dials a bit better, I am liking it much better. It also seems to react to certain guitars and tunings better than others. I think it sounds best tuned lowed than E. The main thing I was missing was the massive bass chug a Peavey 5150 would have. I figured out how to get more of that. It isn't quite as massive sounding as a 5150, but it has other positives, like not being so touchy at very low volumes, and not being so grating in the high end. It still makes me want a 6505+ though, lol.

I found a pretty good balance by using an effects processor in the loop to help with volume. It is better at low volume in general than the bigger 5150s, but using a processor in he loop helps fine tune it even better. I keep my big tube amps in the basement where I can get louder, so I wanted this amp in my office where there is less space, and stay quieter so I can hear later, lol.

I like the 20 watt mini 5150 head. Before GCs closed down I saw some for 300 bucks. I might get one when GC is back. I need another tube amp lol.

I usually don't like small tube amps. Even the 5150 III 50W. is not as big sounding as I usually like, but it is a good compromise all-around. Not as big sounding, but good sounding overall, good volume, good features, etc....

It actually makes me want a 6505+, lol.

Might as well get one of them to lol. I'm gonna replace my speakers, and just go from there.

I think I will stick with small things like I have been thinking for awhile. Maybe a few more pickups for guitars I haven't changed yet (I have so many guitars and pickups, lol. Could use a few more though!). Maybe some speakers. I do want more speakers, but they add up, and not really playing the big cabs in the basement much lately. I also might still grab some more older cheap rack effects. I have been liking grabbing older 90's rack effects units lately. I don't really need more, but hard to pass up great deals.

Who knows, maybe I wont buy anything, lol. I could probably stand to sell some stuff honestly. I haven't sold anything in years.

I just don't want to blow money on gear anymore, when I know i'm not going to do anything with it. I just play for fun. I really don't need the amp I got, but it was cheap lol.

I just do it for fun also, but that doesnt mean I dont want it to sound good, lol. I think just trying different gear is half the fun.

I generally just rotate every few months. I dont play everything always, but tend to rotate around just to keep it interesting.

Thats a good idea. I might get a decent multi effects unit to play with, but not sure yet. I just had a dime amp at the beginning of the year, and now I already have too much crap. And I have nothing compared to you guys lol. I should have just gotten the Boss Katana, and left it at that. Maybe i'll just get the head. Maybe I just need a good shrink

Man my friend brought over a few distortion pedals, and they sounded great with the b-52. Better then the heads distortion with the EQ lol. I still think I should just get a mini tube head. Either the 6505, or the Randall RD. Nothings still open, so I still can't demo shit. This plague sucks.

I have been liking the 5150 III 50W. It is small enough to sound good, but small enough it is more controllable. I have been playing it a lot with a rack effects processor in the loop.

I want to try the EVH lunchbox also. But I just don't want to order something, and take a chance. I want to demo them all. My nephew plays guitar now, and wants a new one. So we are waiting for them to open, to look at some crap. And I still want to change out my speakers, but gonna wait and see what I end up with. I'm also tired of the Duncan, and will probably go back to the EVO. Its always been my fav pup.

Its weird cause the quilter made everything sound dark. This head has a bright clean channel.

A friend of mine called and said he got a new set of drums, and wondered if I would bring my amp over and jam. I was like hell no, just my cab weighs 100 pounds lol. And my Dime combo won't be loud enough.

James Brown went to go work at Fender, so I think a new company is running Amptweaker now.

I am not sure what a good price for one is, lol. I think I would want the new TM PRO II though, since it has the resonance and presence controls on it. I think that would make a huge difference.

I have never had one, but I did build a clone. I think it is a clone of the original TM design. It sounds pretty good, but I kind of like my BE-OD clone better, for a similar thing. They both sound really good though, especially with an EQ pedal after them.
