I keep getting wrecked by his AOE or caught up in the gang of summons

If you really end up not being able to get him, I've read that he's susceptible to scarlet rot. So if you have a way to produce that (the right arrows/bolts, pots, or incantation) he'll supposedly die with just two full doses of it.

So you could theoretically infect him, then just run away until he stops taking damage, then infect him again and just wait for him to die

Jesus you all are good at these games. lol I’m only just past Godrick after about 20 hours of exploring. I’ve killed the Tree Sentinel, Dragon Agheel, and that hard as shit NPC invader in Roundhold. Got the Uchigatana up to +5. Think I’m level 58?

Hey kids. Figured I would join the fun. Played for like 3 more hours this morning. Samurai Dex build. Once I started grinding enemies to level up, things got easier. Got to the round table and my uchi is +3, now. Still just exploring and unlocking grace points.

Game isn't as hard as souls but the vagueness of the abilities is annoying.

Took out my second Elden Lord, Rennala. Wasn't super hard, just a little frustrating in the second half. I've actually made my way through Redmane Castle but got my ass handed to me in the double boss fight at the coliseum, so I had to back out and go do some other things. I did also, take out the boss at Carian manor and have entered in the service of Ranni. So I'm gonna explore that questline a bit.

Yeah that dual boss fight in Redmane is one of the hardest ones to do at lower levels in my opinion. I actually killed Radahn first instead lol

I'm at the final area of the game, but have just been running around finding all the hidden stuff I missed lately before beating the game. Think I've got *just* about everything at this point

Yeah… I fought Radahn tonight. Died a fuck ton. Still didn’t get him. Whittled him to 50% health. Gonna go level a bit. I’m only level 61.

Just this morning I found 4 dragons and an evergaol in a place I had already been through; not sure how I missed that (unless maybe the dragons spawned in after I killed the boss dragon there that I had skipped earlier)

The size and scope of this game is mindblowing tbh

It’s amazing. I’ve only uncovered maybe half the map? And even in places I’ve uncovered I still see amazing things. Like when I got to the lower level of Siofra River I was just in awe.

man I suck at this haha, when I was at level 72 I tried fighting Margit and almost beat him so after about 2 tries I got frustrated and decided to farm more. Now at level 78, I took on the tree sentinel and finally beat him and also took out a Nights Calvary. I'll try Margit again tonight.

Vagabond, at first I was increasing mostly strength (which I have at 44 ) then started to concentrate on increasing endurance and vigor

Depending on how you progressed (aka if the "festival" is ready to start when you use the teleporter to get in there) the place will be empty and all the doors will be inaccessible.

Go back and exhaust the lil festival guy's dialog (the dude right outside the elevator to Radahn's boss arena) and he will leave, then all the enemies will re-appear and you'll be able to get inside the doors

This will also cause the festival waiting area to become the boss arena for the crucible knight+beast man boss fight

I've been using the lordsworn greatsword, I've got it leveled up to the point I need to go to the roundtable and have them upgrade it. Now it's trying to find enough of the smithing stone (2)
After I killed the tree sentinel, I started using his halberd and that's pretty awesome. I mostly ride on the horse and fight that way, with the halberd I can take out small groups of people at a time haha

Definitely use your most upgraded weapon and two-hand the weapon if you weren't already. Changing it to a "heavy" version if you have the required whetstone knife+ash of war will make it scale even better with STR too (AKA it will do a lot more damage)

Also since your STR is high consider throwing fire pots as they scale with STR

Yeah I try to use two hands if I can remember to hold it with both. I stopped increasing strength because I saw upgrading the weapon made more difference. I'll have to give the fire pots a try, I've got all stuff to make them, I just have been spending all my time slashing everyone while on horseback.

If you convert the sword to a "Heavy" version it's damage will increase a lot more as you level STR.

Also, if you haven't done this yet, go to Murkwater Cave and fight Patches; he'll beg for mercy during the fight and afterwards you can buy an item from him called Margit's Shackles that you can use while fighting Margit to temporarily chain him to the ground, allowing you to punish tf out of him

LOL I just learned you can kill all the merchants and they drop bells you can give the twins at the roundtable and you can buy everything there
I would forget where all the merchants were so that didn't sound like a bad idea but with the new update, the map marks where they are, so I'll let them live.
