The wife and I binged S3 between Saturday and Sunday night...... you reallllllly need to suspend your belief in reality for some of the plot but.... its still so good..lol

This show is tickles the campy bone and I accept it with its flaws.

Finished Season 3 yesterday. This show is so awesome. Yeah, there's some seriously unbelievable nonsense in it, but who cares? It's so eighties cool it hurts.

So many cool little moments. It's like nostalgia trip after nostalgia trip interspersed with kids beating the fuck out of each other. What's not to love?

yeah... totally agree..... but in the final episode SPOLIER ALERT when they basically storm the LaRusso home and start kicking all the kid's asses, it's like... ok... why go complain to the Cobra Kai guy and not just call the police... they literally trespassed and attacked kids lol... was a bit much IMO.... or even why the parents of the kid who got his arm broken not call the cops when it happened is pushing it.... lol

but over all, I LOVE the 80s cheese

Yeah for sure.
I've just come to accept it all because the absurdity of it is part of the charm.

You know, I can almost see why they didn't go to the cops for the simple fact that the entire city seems to see Miyagi Do and the aggressor at all times and there's just as good a chance the cops would arrest the kids that got attacked and pat the Cobra Kai bitches on the head and send them on their way. I mean, that's pretty much the framing of every other situation where they wreak havoc on Miyagi students.

But during that fight? Hawk's turn was the most non-believable thing in the entire show. Sure, it was awesomely epic, but extremely hard to believe.

Next season should be an emotional roller coaster with Johnny and Daniel teaming up. Just watching those kids try to come to grips with a couple years of beating the shit out of each other should lead to some interesting plot drama.

Biggest buzzkill:

When Daniel stopped himself from blasting Kreese through that storefront window.Talk about I get it; but I was reallllllllly needing that bit of resolve to wrap things up before they continued on with the inevitable S4 track.

Agreed.

Why would Sam yell at him to stop? On that same note, why the fuck did the girls stop fighting right when Sam got the slightest bit of advantage? That's fucking ridiculous. Kreese and Tory both need to get destroyed. Preferably multiple times over. Fuck those two assholes.

I get it, they need something to build tension, but resolving those two points would just leave you with two pissed off Cobra's next season even more ready for vengeance.

Terry Silver has returned. With a few acting classes under his belt. Odd that terrible acting fit the character better historically speaking Good season so far.

Finished it up. Great ending with enough closure. On the fan service/nostalgia end of things; it still tops the Ghostbusters/Spiderman list as far as doing it the best, imo.
