I don't think any reasonable person would deny that they take place. However, that article isn't talking about counter-terrorism drills. It's talking about "supposed 'counter-terrorism' drills" that "many" (Is 17 many?) fear are the beginning of martial law.

<--- at them, not necessarily you

More militarilized police state, maybe. Full-on martial law, nope.

How long can you safely store water and canned food?

Perhaps after years of nothing ever happening and ridicule from peers, these ppl will start to be a bit more skeptical about things they read on the internet. I say take all of them and drop 'em into Zimbabwe so they can experience the wonders of small government and quit taking advantage of everything that this supposedly horrible socialist country offers.

You know that trick where you take a 20 dollar bill and fold it so it looks like the World Trade Center burning up?
This really hot chick was at a bar showing it to me TOTALLY convinced that the government was in on 9-11 and that was the proof. This chick was smoking hot and I had a feeling all I had to do was AGREE with her batshit craziness and I was going to sample some of the sweetest snatch on earth later that night.

But I couldn't help myself.
I asked her how the government was going to know exactly what the towers were going to look like to create thier little Mad Magazine fold-in trick.
Also since that particular design of the 20 dollar bill was around years before how they had planned so meticulously that far ahead to have the image there.....
And also what purpose was it to serve....to let the pilots know what the results should look like in order to "get it right"?
Needless to say I did not get laid. She was smoking hot. Looked like Risa Kasumi:

I put a lot of shit on my FB wall. Not that I believe it all or even most of it. I just question the shit our government does. It's been fucked up for a long time, but it got worse with Bush and even worse with Obama. I post a lot of gun shit too and I don't even own a gun. Figure that shit out, lol. I want one but don't have one

Does it matter? I mean, say the apocalypse happens: I'll eat Beefaroni that expired in '92 before I try to go all Bear Grylls on nature's ass. If it kills me, I wouldn't want to live in that world, anyway.
Unless it was a zombie apocalypse and I got to pork a hot farmer's daughter.

I hate all those sitcoms and shows on NBC, ABC, etc... They all seem so overrefined and dull. FX and AMC do it right.

Yep, they probably do

Edit: I think I'm going to quit and get back to the fun stuff. It's not like I can change shit anyway.
