This isn't a movie, Pepi!

I like Pascal. I like the idea of this show. I think the zombies are gross and I do like that aspect. I think it's too close to TWD end (and the years of absolute jesus christ end this already) to come out with another zombie drama. We'll keep watching but it's not something I am going to sad if we end up dropping it off the rotation.

I freaking LOOOOVE TLoU, but i'm also a huge fan of the games.

Back on track... i did a Shudder marathon and watched....

Sorry About the Demon: Horror comedy. nothing great, but I didn't hate most of it.

Isolation: Boring and unoriginal. Lot's of cows

The Lair: oh god... Russian experiments with alien/human hybrids. Why did i bother?

Really sucked. Made me realize that I liked the first one b/c of the actors in it made it good.

Triangle of Sadness 8/10

Well, if you like dark humor, this is for you!
The movie gave me a glimpse into parts of society that I never saw, so, a couple of points for that.

I thought Triangle of Sadness was extremely dumb. It was Lord of the Flies with really bad acting and old people.

Why I bothered:
Neil Marshall. Though really Dog Soldiers and The (first) Descent are really the only good things I can recall from him. Some of the ideas were ok. The creatures were some of the cheapest looking rubber turds I have ever seen in a movie. I have no idea how they got greenlit. Some of the "American accents" were the worst thing I have ever heard as well. Plus horrid dialog. I'd give it a 3.5/10. And rate that 3.5 good for something that is basically a :crap:

Absolutely. It's a new classic, imo. This was shockingly bad.

I watched this the other day too. I had been looking forward to it for whatever reason? Dude gave a great creepy performance. Vibes were good overall but it was certainly slow and a little too thoughtful for my taste :idk:

Probably couldve been 40 minutes shorter without harming the plot

Definitely seemed to be trying to have a lot going on in the thoughtfulness area, but made up for it with the creepyness/weirdness lol

Dangit Pepi!

@atrox; tried Skinamarink last night. I like the idea and vibe but I could not crank the TV at the time I was watching to hear all the dialog/sounddesign work. I lasted about 15 minutes? I am interested to see what comes next for this director as they have a vision. If they can get something less abstract I am all for it. I might give it another try but just couldn't do it.

It's a tough one. the moments worth getting too are worth it IMO, but it's something you have to commit to for sure

Black Panther Wakanda Forever: 7.5/10

Missed Chadwick but solid otherwise. Plus hey, Namor. Figured he’d show up in Multiverse of Madness as he’s part of the Marvel Illuminati but whatevs. Changed his origin quite a bit but was cool to see.

Amsterdam - 3/10

Watched this on a 14 hour flight to Santiago. I may have been less bored if I'd just stared at the blank screen. Incredible all star cast wasted.

Everything Everywhere All At Once 9.5/10

This was one of the most deranged things I’ve ever seen in a great way. Loved the whole thing.

100%

The Black Phone 8.5/10

I am not much of a horror watcher but really enjoyed this. It is basically the best Stephen King story thar King never wrote.

Wife and I have watched Black Phone twice already. That little girl is awesome. "You can't trust a girl that wants to grow up to marry Potzy!" And her nailing that kid with the rock is one of the most badass little girl moments in a movie in a long, long time.

I also enjoy the tension build up to the big ending. Great horror movie. Especially considering how much horror now is just cookie cutter bullshit.

I need to go looking for 'Everything Everywhere.' I've been desperately wanting to see it since I saw the first trailer, and had almost given up hope of seeing it. Now I see it's out on streaming, so hopefully this weekend. Fingers crossed.
