Holy shit!

I'm watching Everything, etc., and I'm thinking,

"is that tax auditor the once super hot Jamie Lee Curtis?"

"naaa, it can't be, she's too ugly and fat"

"maybe she's wearing a fat suit?"

Holy shit!

Time is vicious to some!

Nah, they are duty bound to stay hot and nubile so that old men can crank one out when they get their quarterly erection.

This just in...."men age"

Look, I expect more from Hollywood starlets who have spent zillions on plastic surgery, botox, personal trainers, psychotherapy, etc. to end up looking like her.

yeah........

Speaking of Val Kilmer and Tom Cruise, one of the stupidest scenes in Top Gun 2 was when TC meets VK at his house, and VK uses a computer to type out his side of the conversation b/c he's got cancer. Then, miraculously, when it's time for TC to go, VK regains the ability to speak and has a normal conversation with TC.

Roadrunner - A Film about Anthony Bourdain - 9/10

Really a must watch for anyone who was a fan of Bourdain's work. Really eye opening in a lot of ways. The film is well-named, as it really makes it clear that Bourdain always had a strange relationship with death...how it seemed like he was always chasing it yet was constantly moving and traveling in an attempt to escape it, only for it to catch him in France. Great movie.

Irma Vep - Seems to be a movie about making a movie that's a remake of a French silent film from 1916 about a gang calling themselves vampires, or actual vampires? I dunno. The director seems completely batshit insane, which leads to all sorts of fuck-ups. Favorite scene: Hanging out in an adult sex-toy shop trying to figure out the best outfit for the title character of the film. One of the girls keeps getting hit in the face by this rack of dildos hanging from the ceiling and it just cracked me up. Some super-trippy scenes of the final edit the cray-cray director put together of the film round it out. Like a drug-induced nightmare.

We watched this in prep for the new HBO limited series about the same thing. Thus far the series doesn't disappoint too much, but it did get rid of the sex-shop scene in favor of a more Hollywood style fitting for the outfit. Bummer.

Has anyone seen The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent?

I mean, it's a movie about Nicolas Cage, played by Nicolas Cage, acting like Nicolas Cage

The trailer for it looks meta as fuck. At one point, the main characters are acting out coming up with the plot of the movie you're currently watching. Absolutely hysterical.

I'm down for Nick Cage being Nick Cage anyway, but DAMN did they win with this formula. Can't wait to see it.

Apparently they approached Daniel Day-Lewis to play Nick Cage, but he turned it down with being retired and all. Can you imagine DDL method acting it up in the role of his career to pull off being Nick Cage?

Oh, man. Couldn't he unretire for long enough to shoot a cameo scene or something? Maybe in the sequel they can 'make' the first movie and have him playing Cage in the film inside the film? Meta-fourth-wall-meta. Metaception.

New Dr. Strange 7.5/10

Not really a fan of the singular hero movies as much as I am of the big ultimate team up stuff but this was pretty good. Cleo showing up was awesome.

Beavis and Butthead Do the Universe - 7.5 - it's what you'd expect, dumb and makes you laugh. Beavis and Butthead learning about white privilege was pretty funny
