Not great but actually surprised at how decent it was given whatsherface isn't normally in things I would ever watch.

VENOM (CARNAGE) 8.5/10 Good action, I love the humor that the "monster" brings, wasn't thrilled with the ending, but very good overall.

DUNE (2021) hmmm, still thinking about it/10

So, it's a good movie, very complex and interesting, but I lost interest in sci-fi after Star Wars 2

It's good enough that I will avoid the spoilers and won't watch the 80's version.

Till Death: So many inconsistencies. So many odd blood/makeup choices. The story was OK though, so it was decent, but just lazy filmmaking in general.

Come True: A movie about science being able to see your nightmares. Twist at the end that I kinda dug, but the movie was kinda boring and the dreams were more cool than scary.

Oxygen: French movie. I enjoyed it. Interesting, continuously developing reveals.

21 Jump Street: Felt like a comedy and I still love this movie for some reason.

Red Notice: 5.5/10

This is a Netflix jawn with the Rock, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot.

Was ok, although the Reynolds/Johnson schtick is getting old and it shows. Extra half point for the hotness that is Gal.

Won’t watch it again but stuck in a truck at a rest stop last night it was fine.

Shang Chi: 8.5/10

Much better Marvel outing than Eternals. Humor was there, they stuck to his basic plot line from the comics with a twist, couple other Marvel cameos and that was cool. Dug it and will watch again.

No Time To Die: 8/10

Perfect blend of current Bond's realism and old school bond over-the-top villains and gadgets. Still not 100% on Bond being a monogamous person with feelings, but Daniel Craig does it well.

Also (because I watched them in the same day):

Midsommar: 9.5/10

Beautifully shot, great acting, super creepy and upsetting just like Ari Aster does.

Agreed! I thought I was burned out on Marvel origin stories but this one was really enjoyable. My wife and I actually laughed out loud more than once. 100% entertaining.

yeah I enjoyed it.... can't say it's my favourite Bond movie but it as good none the less..... interested to see where the franchise goes now, if they are going to totally reboot it or continue in the vein of this movie

My biggest issue with the film was the villain plot. I think they could have made the story a little smaller scale and a little more personal to Bond and the movie would have been better/tighter. Its never clear why Rami wants to release the virus.

Yeah that's an absolutely fair point. I get his beef with bond's lady, but the whole "let's wipe out the whole world" part wasn't really made clear.

well that and he didn't seem very menacing either..... I didn't get the sense of Holy shit this guy just wants to see the world burn or he wanted ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD.... so other than his revenge against Spectre I didn't get other motivation.... in the end he really had nothing personal against Bond...

It felt like on the third draft of the script some producer was like "but what about the threat to the world?!?!"

The movie could have been 90% the same with that plot removed and been better for it.

I still loved the movie though, easy 8/10 for Ana De Armas alone

And genuinely good in the role. I'd love to see her as the lead in a spy movie.

Agreed. It is really dumb but fun. Worth a watch while doing something else.

I really enjoyed the flick, the characters in particular, but man the CGI looked bad to me. Almost every scene looked like it was filmed on a green screen and everything looked hazy. After seeing how amazing Dune consistently looked I'm really over the Marvel's approach. It's insane that the best looking Marvel movies are all from phase 1.

Eh, I still love awful CGI from the 80's and 90's. The story and acting are why I watch things. And this wasn't part of the Avengers umbrella, so I was expecting it to look not nearly as good.

I didn't realize they filmed it in Sydney, Australia. Maybe that had something to do with it?

Remi Malek as a villain is about one notch more convin as Colin Hanks was in Dexter. One notch tops.

Ghostbusters Afterlife: Fantastic/10. This is how you do fan service. I can only imagine how the last Ghostbusters film team feels watching this in comparison to their unfunny turd.
