I can't find a pickup I like with my Gibson SG (bridge position)... i've tried the stock ones, a duncan distortion and now I got a Custom 8 in there. All of them sound a little too bright and clanggy and the distortion just sounds wimpy and I usually love Distortion's.

I like a rather dark tone, with a good amount of output... enough to get the palm mutes chunkin.

Only pickup I can think of is a Duncan Invader, but they get a lot of hate it seems?? :idk:

Only overdrives I have are a couple of Joyo ones. I do have a Digitech Screamin Blues though, but I'm hesitant to part with it.

Just picked up a Stephen Carpenter Custom Shop and had the option of the EMGs that were in it or a new set of zebra JB (bridge) Jazz (middle). Turns out that I dont like them as much as I thought I would. Would like to trade for Black Winter or Nazgul pickups. Would also sell together or separately, just pm me. JB is traded but the Jazz is still available.

I've got a Suhr Doug Aldrich bridge pickup that doesn't do it for me. Looking for a Bare Knuckle Rebel Yell. 50mm spacing. It's gonna go in my goldtop. I know I said I was gonna keep that guitar stock, but I did some recording with it over the weekend and there's a harshness in the high end that makes it unusable for high gain palm muted rhythms.
