Always sunny is straight up my favorite show. Endless hilarity

Seinfeld does not amuse me in the slightest, I think I must be a decade too young or something

The Knick. Not sure if anyone mentioned it earlier in this thread? Cinemax (iirc) turn of the century hospital drama starring Clive Owen. Who is a badass, as per usual. Drug addicted head surgeon of Knickerbocker hospital in NYC. I am iffy on period pieces but I dig Clive, so I gave it a shot. Surprisingly quick moving and actually really good. 7.5/10 so far.

I'm over a decade older than you and think it sucks. They're all obnoxious and whiny and I with they would all get hit by cars.

I get it. I'm in the minority, but I don't find Seinfeld or Larry David funny.

I think it's something about people that are pieces of shit and KNOW they're pieces of shit that I find somewhat amusing. Seinfeld was self-aware with it. Fucking Friends did the same bullshit, but that whole show seemed to have the running theme of them believing themselves to be awesome people.

Always Sunny - the episode where they get asked to prom had me dying. Absolute wrongness at every turn, and none of them bat an eye at it until it goes to shit.

Also, "I just punched that tranny in the face and ran all the way back here."

The show has no boundaries, I love it  so glad this last season didn't end up being the final one as originally planned

On the flip side I found curb your enthusiasm to be hilarious

Right there with ya good buddy. I'm thinkin' a fleet of Cordobas should do the trick.

Dark Matter. Three episodes in, going to keep watching. Premise is pretty good, banter is good, has a bit of a Firefly'ish vibe to it.

One minus based on what I've seen so far: they obviously blew their whole budget on the ship set, anything filmed on a "planet" is just a dull industrial warehouse / power plant pipes etc. But the ship insides really do look great. Could get better, one episode is hardly a trend.

Season finale of Penny Dreadful last night. I don't know why I like this show so much except it's a nice counterpoint to GoT, and Eva.

Shit always gets weird and twisted around.....it's nothing mind blowing but its a good show with a solid cast.

Season ended well and I'm glad to hear ST renewed it for another one. Eva Green straight bitch slapped the Devil last night.

"Beloved, know THY master." Was dope as hell.

I enjoy this show a lot. I love that it just mixing every horror folklore into a blender and puts it on max setting. Haven't watched the finale yet, will do it tonight probably.

Turned out a bit better this season than it started. I was glad we finished it up.

Saw the previews and thought it would cool if it wasn't USA network  (Unless I am remembering that wrong). Will check out at some point probably.

Finished the Knick this evening. Great series. Gets very dark the last few episodes. Odd because it is a period piece which should feel old, yet the soundtrack is very modern sounding. Gives a really cool vibe that I didn't expect. Main thread of the series is advancements in medical procedures at the time and that gives it a very forward thinking POV as well. Interesting (and sad) as well to see the depiction of racial tensions and compare to how much they are still entrenched in our society this very day. Highly recommended. On another note; the end scene is  in the darkest of ways

Last week, a British TV channel (SkyArts) put out a video documentary about Black Sabbath's Paranoid album. I'm super-interested in seeing this (one of my all-time fav albums). I'm not having any luck tracking it down, and the only viewing options on SkyArts' website are via subscription. Not even sure if that's an option for me, since I'm in the US. Do any of you know where it might be available for viewing?

Here's a link to an article that Guitar World did about the show.

Here's a clip from that article, in which Ozzy jabbers and Tony talks about Fairies Wear Boots.

Someone at work recommended that. I missed the first episode, but I have the series scheduled on the DVR. Not sure how important it is, but I plan on watching the first episode on demand so I don't miss any of the setup...

Started season 2 of Fringe, loving the show. (Yup, I'm up to date.)

My wife and I also have been slowly working through Criminal Minds. We're on season...6 or something? I dunno, its been a long process as we just throw one on in the background if we're doing stuff on the computer or whatever. Being a network procedural its never been great television but for the most part it was fairly brainless entertainment. But man, this many seasons in its getting hilarious. For some reason they feel this desperate need to keep making the bad guys weirder, darker, or their issues more obscure. Instead of working harder to make the writing top notch its pretty much at the "well, we've already had an agent go rogue to fight a bad guy so now its time to just start delving for the wackiest killers we can think of."
