Arsenal matches usually are (and tend to involve diving

).
But yeah it was a great match. Typical west Brom unfortunately, very out classed. Weat ham beating spurs! Now that was a surprise.
I give West Brom credit though. While Arsenal had better players overall, they didn't give an inch and easily could have won had it not been for that deflected goal.
I didn't realize the Spurs lost, I'll have to read up on that match and maybe see if I can find a replay to watch at work today.

Despite all the problems at my club, Coventry City, the team of young kids are doing remarkably well.
This is supposed to be a "home" game, remember most of us are boycotting the ground share move to Northampton, less than 1000 Coventry supporters! Over half of the 2000 crowd are from Sheffield. Some great Cov goals.

Contrast the last game with this one in Wolverhampton on Saturday, the full 3500 allocation taken up by Cov supporters. Wolves are one of the favourites for promotion this season, but there's a lot of fight and spirit in this young coventry team, great cov goal, it's such a shame because most of these kids will just get sold on as soon as a decent offer comes in. I just hope the current "owners"

will have fucked off before the January transfer window opens; I'm not holding my breath!

Another "home" game from Tuesday, a couple of great goals, the second one was pure class! Orient were top of the table, unbeaten this season. If it wasn't for the 10 point deduction, Cov would be 4th. The squad is so small though, a couple of injuries to key players could be disastrous.

And the politics outside of the football just continues

.............

Some good matches over the weekend. Arsenal continues to stay on top which is a "YAY" in my book. (Hey, I don't have to deal with their fans over there.)
Chelsea downed MCFC which was a bit surprising, but Chelsea has been damned good the few times I've seen them play.
I was so hoping MU was going to go down, but sadly, they did not.
I'm still confused by what happened in the...crap, I don't even remember. But the guy got hurt and was rolling around on the ground. The ball was kicked or thrown out...the team with the guy who was hurt brought the ball in and kicked an uncontested goal which was taken away?
Something like that. It didn't really make any sense at all to this noob.

Been too long since this thread was bumped.
Man, its been a good last week or two for City. First, they beat Bayern Munich (sp?). Then, they pound on Arsenal.
Dammit Gunners you needed that match!
Still, I only got to watch from ~55 on and while Arsenal controlled things there for a bit, City just was all over them. Impressive win.

My club Coventry City (the sky blues) are deep in the shit. We've been on the decline for the last 12 years, after having had 35 years in the Premier League (and the previous incarnation of the prem, division 1). We've dropped 2 divisions, suffered 2 10-point deductions, are currently in a second period of administration, and third transfer embargo, and are something like £70m in debt!
Now the shower of shit that owns the club has moved us out of Coventry (franchising is not allowed) and dumped us in a ground-share at/with Northampton in an (alleged) attempt to distress the coventry stadium owners to the point where they can basically grab the stadium for free.
The majority of the supporters are boycotting the club financially, and refusing to attend "home" games, (less than 2000 attendances) and there is a huge divide between different groups of supporters.
WE'RE BACK!
The dumb fucks who own the club lost the big court case against the stadium owners (the judge beat the shit out of them, they're still appealing the decision though), realised the majority of the supporters were going to continue the boycott, and had to eat humble pie and return the club to coventry (for the moment anyway). The idiots couldn't even make all the seats available for this game but, considering it was a 3rd division team on Friday night and on TV, it was some homecoming!

Premiership and Championship teams have been going nuts in the transfer market this season! Understandable for United, since they basically needed a team re-build. Di Maria and Falcao are certainly going to make a big difference... no big centre midfield buy though.
Arsenal buying Welbeck was rather random, seems mostly to do with their main striker being out and the opportunity just arose. He is good at holding the ball, but isn't exactly a top goal scorer.
Liverpool trying to replace Suarez. I have to say Balotelli was a good move, especially if they can keep him on track.
I'm really looking forward to the games leading up to Christmas!

It is great watching the Premier League at the moment! Some great matches yesterday, and United kicking QPR's arse!
http://www.sofascore.com/manchester-united-queens-park-rangers/bsKLive score - it isn't the live match, just an update when someone scores.
Cool Line-up from united as well. A good use of youth players as well as first team players.
United 3 - 0 QPR at half time.

What a weekend for the Premier League!
West Ham 3 - 1 Liverpool
West Brom 1 - 0 Spurs
Everton 2 - 3 Crystal Palace
Man City 1 - 1 Chelski
Aston Villa 0 - 3 Arseholes
Leister 5 - 3 Man United
That Leister vs Man United game was fantastic! United were amazing (3-1 lead), then WHAM. Leister what a come back.

Didn't see it, but I work with a few Leicester (or as we cov lads call it, incester) fans, the cunts will be full of themselves now, I was really hoping they'd be bottom of the table by now, thank fuck I'm off work this week. On the plus side, the MU glory hunters seem to have crawled back into the woodwork.
