I check this out sporadically (when I remember). That Milt /Wes track was sweet, and full of things to learn.
...and Piano Guys... Man. Ahem. Harrumm-ha. Hrrm. We need to remember to spread this stuff around.

I listen to each track that gets posted, I just thought a "cool tune" comment to go with each video would get old

The Tjader piece they played was different though, and I couldn't find it on Youtube. It was called "Serenata", but I sub'd in a different, equally dope Tjader piece.
Miles Davis is a fucking boss. Bitches Brew and In a Silent Way both permanently altered my brain

50 ' s jazz is pretty sweet, I really like the modal jazz that it birthed. I think I might have said it already, but the weird off the wall stuff Goin on in jazz in the late 60s/early 70's is definitely my favorite. Even though a lot of it isn't considered tr00 jazz by purists

Smooth Jazz is an abomination. I mean, I like plenty of it, but to call it jazz-anything hurts my dick.
That super experimental jazz of the late 60's and 70's was a natural course of music progression. Like what Wagner is to Bach in terms of classical music. Boundaries have to be broken.
But smooth jazz, is like everyone showed up to a Tupperware party and cleaned their pussies all nice and sparkly before arriving.
