I'll try all those and narrow my field. I'm using real Burberry for Men right now and it's doing a good job. Woody and a little sweet.

Burberry is a polarizing fragrance. I bought a bottle and it just didn't work with me at all. I guess it doesn't mix well with alcohol from the pores :idk: I gave it to one of my friends and he loves it.

Dior Sauvage is my go to.

Excellent choice and currently a top seller!

I've been in a fragrance rabbit hole. Been basically watching YouTube people go on about what's expensive, popular, new, old, a clone, woody vs blue, etc.

There are sites that will send you 1ml sprayers so you can test all the real expensive shit and then find a clone you like. OR...just buy like 5-10ml sprayers of the expensive shit for little money. I don't wear a scent all the time so I can make the smaller bottles last.

Today I'm rocking Versace Eros. I have samples of Aventus, Baccarat Rouge, and Tom Ford oud wood. I like everything but the Aventus. The oud wood just smells like what Ron Burgundy probably smells like, my wife likes the Versace, and the Baccarat took me 2 tries to really get in to. Smells like cotton candy and dried down to woody vanilla. Lots of longevity. Unisex scent.

It's fun discovering all this shit and I only got in to it after I started shaving with the sea spice lime. Smell is a sense that we don't excite like sound or visuals. Mostly because some asshole ruined your day with an offensive fragrance at like 10x the applicable amount, once. Working on a smell track for the rest of my days :idk:

Bought a bottle of A&E Lurch & Fester for no other reason than the name... lol
The g/f likes it but, it's a bit too out there for me. The A&E website description: "The scent is a delightful mix of Khalifa & Vanille de Tabac". What the heck is khalifa? Mia Khalifa????
Broke out the Bullet handled Gem (an excellent razor) and the TFS Maestro Michi for a BBS... but, not without a bit of razor burn.
8/10

finally got Barrister Melange soap. Dune is pretty cool. The soap is really good. Smells like Spicy Mountain Dew Chypre. Very interesting. Top notch performance.

My facial hair grows slooooooow.

I started growing my beard around early June and it's got roughly 2" of growth. Not only does it grow slow, but it's wiry as hell. So instead of laying, it poofs out like Santa Clause.

I use beard shampoo, conditioner, oils, and butters and nothing seems to help. Am I just one of those dudes whose facial hair will always be fucked?

There are a LOT of counterfeit bic blades.

If you got fake ones, you're in for a real treat (sarcastic).

The real ones are real sharp though.

I'd suggest to double check the Amazon store you bought from. Even if it's direct from Amazon. The reason being, when I was managing the fraud prevention team at my previous job, we found out that Amazon mixes up legit products with fake knockoffs. That's even when requesting them to "gate off" our product from others.

I don't trust Amazon that much anymore these days. They're turning into an American Ali Express.

I got them in. It’s odd, some of them are in more yellowish packaging, and some are more orange colored than yellow. Why you’d fake a razor blade refill is beyond me.

Return them. Nearly guaranteed to be fake. Buy direct from manufacturer or other reputable source.

Not eligible for return, but these seem legit from what I can tell. I ordered some more and some Feathers from West Coast Shaving anyway, though. Just a few bucks.

Tried the Gem again today. First time in a year or so. Still tore up my face but not as bad as last time so, improving? I probably didn’t need a 3rd pass. Two seemed to have it pretty much done so I’ll try that next time. Blades are the micromatic gems that Gene sent me a while back. I don’t use this often so I haven’t dipped too deep into that inventory. Old school style Palmolive shave cream for this. Just works.

It's weird how some razors work for some people but not others. :idk:
I guess I lucked out and got a good one?
I bought a French Leresch razor from a guy in Korea and he included my Gem for free... what a nice guy!
If he didn't send it to me or free, I doubt I would ever own one.
The blades look like they should only be used for scraping dry paint off windows!!!

Promises soap and splash. Awesome.

yesterday:
Mamba .92mm - this is awesome too.

Came to the realization that beards aren't my jam and shaved all the scraggly shit off. I envy you guys, but not the expense I'm seeing in balms, blades, and oils

Expense? :idk:

$18 Seaforth Sea Lime Spice Aftershave (lasts about a year)
$25 Seaforth Sea Lime Spice Soap (lasts up to two years)

You can get an excellent razor for $30 (RazoRock Lupo) and blades are 5-10¢ each.

Of course, you can spend a ton of money trying to find the optimum combination and exploring expensive boutique gear but, the above list is all you really need.
WARNING: It can easily become an obsession!!! :rawk:

Ordered a Razorock 400 synthetic with black matte handle today. Had been using a cheap Kent that I got from Amazon. Looking forward to using it.
