The Henson aluminum razor kicks ass. I have a medium in black. I really wanted a better color, but I couldn’t refuse this one at the price I got.

I just received my Henson, and I couldn’t wait. Diamond soap and AS balm, Gillette 7 O’Clock Super Platinum black (it came with 5 Astra Platinums, but I didn’t want to open another pack of blades when I had some loose in my cabinet). It felt like it wasn’t doing anything at all, but it may be the finest shave I have had in a very long time.

Glad you like the Henson.

I had a shitty shave.

Egyptian Bolzano is a complete piece of shit. Cut myself twice. Horseshit. I never fucking cut myself.

Kind of tired of this soap commander scent. Still a good soap though. Zeal is better.

Zaharoff fragrances are mind blowing. This scent kind of smells like invictus and nautica competition, but my wife seems to like it.

7/10.

Btw, hittin the road for ten days. Packed a mega kit. Like 5 soaps. 2 razors. 3 colognes. 2 aftershaves. Etc.

Never found a good Egyptian blade... they ALL suck hemorrhoids bigly.

The PURPLE Henson AL13 arrived today... I'll be trying it out on Saturday. It came with a 5 pack of Astras... I like Astras so, it's OK.

The fit and finish on that Henson is astonishing, and the fact that the head is as wide as the tabs is a nice touch.

The Al is light and nimble; I can only imagine that the Ti is even better.

Got a few things from Brian I was excited to try. First let’s talk about the handle. I haven’t had an injector yet but I like this. The Occams has a great weight, good angle and handles nicely. The soap commander lime patchouli is awesome. Feels good on the skin and the scents are pretty complimentary. Oh and this Brandy spice aftershave? Awesome. 10/10 even with a couple nicks from learning a new handle and blade.

Right on!!! Glad you're digging the Occams... I just couldn't get it to work for me.

The blades, used in the Occam's Enoch are called, "Artist Club" blades. I'm not sure that "injector" blades are the same so, if you buy new blades, look for Artist Club.

Couldn't wait until tomorrow to try the new Henson AL13 razor. It's a bit milder than the Lupo and you can shave fast, without any nicks or razor burn.
The Matteao 9,11 is fantastic and I always liked the Phoenix Atomic Age Bay Rum AS.
The extra dense, badger brush is the only badger brush that I like (thanks again Steiny!!!)

Noted. I see feather does a few variations for this specific type of injector blade. I’ll order a few sets and try some out.

If you see the word “injector”, it will NOT be compatible with the Enoch. “Artist club” is a different format. Period.

First day of traveling mega kit. Great shave.

I love all of these items. This tibam handle is just perfect with the game changer. Perfection.

This wild west brush was sooo nice heated up in this mug. Felt great.

10/10

I did a search on both and can clearly see the difference in blades. Artist club it is.

Really nice soap here. The woodsy scent works well with the whiskey aftershave. I smell like a distillery. I’m good with it.

10/10.

Thanks dude!! Good to see you stopping by.

I had this titanium handle custom made by tibam. I wanted a baby sized radiator. It’s the same size as the super small Razorock halo on my original mamba 53. It’s perfect, and it fits in my little west coast travel case.

I want to love the Sabre handle, but it’s Ssooo heavy for me.

What is the consensus on blades and soap for a decent shave right now? I use a Merkur 34c because it’s only cheeks and neck for me (balls au naturale). Been using Astra blades and Proraso soap

My favorite razor is the RazoRock Lupo. Every shave is free from nicks, papercuts and razor burn... it's just amazing and it's only $30.00.

My favorite blades are (in no particular order): Astra, Sputnik, Cloud Bruce Lee, Wilkinson Sword and Feather Yellow.

Poraso Green is fantastic and I used it on the regular, however, my favorite soap is Krokus by Abbate Y La Mantia.
It's a bit pricey but, it's worth every penny.

Well, I have just fallen in love with the Henson AL13, because it is so light, nimble and smooth, that I have yet to have a bad shave with it. However, everyone’s face is different, so it might not be right for you. And it’s $70, which is a lot of money for a razor.

Blades: I have Astras galore, because they’re cheap, and I generally get good results. I also like Gillette 7 O’Clock Super Platinums, but they aren’t as cheap (still significantly cheaper than cartridge shaving, despite the aggressive marketing of Gillette) as others. I have Indian blades, because that’s what I get, but others swear that Russian blades are superior. 7 O’Clock Platinum yellows (in yellow packaging, whereas the Super Platinum is black) are very good, very reasonably priced, and fairly easy to find. Feathers are made with Japanese precision, and command a Japanese precision price. They are aggressive blades, which I have yet to try in the Henson, and I only bought 100, right off the bat. I will likely buy more.

Soap: Proraso green soap, in the large tube, meant for commercial outfits, is a favorite of mine, as is the Cremo you can get at Walgreens. I particularly like the Cremo, because there are times when efficiency is more important than process. Another product that works: Butter. And yes, I did get that from an episode of Seinfeld, but it works. It clogs razors, and it’s a bitch to clean, but it works.

Man, man this cherries in the chamber was nice. Felt like my face was a nice piece of pie. Figured this scent of Seaforth would be a good complimentary mix. I dig it. Only neg is a couple nicks showing up after I was done. Didn’t notice them. 3rd shave on this particular blade.

10/10 for the feeling. 9/10 for discovering the small nicks afterwards.

If you like the Seaforth Spice, I'm sure you'd like their Heather AS. If you like lime, their Heather with Lime is even better.

Razorock stainless lupo 95 is the best overall razor available right now.

Gillette blue platinum is the best blade available.

Great soaps that won’t give you greasy zits.
