My dad (retired Air Force and private pilot) would love that seat! Please report back on what you think of it once you get it all set up. Looks comfy as hell too!
Will do... What did your dad do in the Air Force? Mine was a right-wing gunner on a B-29 in the Pacific theater during WWII...
P.S. That's the "entry level" seat setup but they have some killer cockpit configurations. Figured I'd dip my toes in before considering the high-end stuff.
I forget what jet he was a copilot in, but it was before Vietnam and in a jet with a snub nose.

Dude, I downloaded that game some time last year and uninstalled it after 30 minutes or so. Came across some horse dude that was massive and handed me my ass. Figured out real quick that game wasn't for me. It's beautiful though!
Ah, that dude is the from software trope of having a really hard boss right at the start of the game You're not going to beat him until you've got a few levels under your belt and have unlocked your horse.

The only From games I ever got along with were Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne. They are extremely difficult and make no apologies for it. I tried Sekiro and noped right the fuck out of that one. Elden Ring was just too big to be that difficult, for me. I know I’m in the minority.
Honestly the bigness is kinda the secret to making the game easier; if you just try to play it linearly like Dark Souls you'll likely run in to some issues. You can always just take off in random directions and find cool gear etc. Lots of ways to become OP as fuck in the game

Having just come off the back of ds3 it's a little bit overwhelming having such an open world as ds3 is pretty linear. Should anyone want to try and get back into it and needs a bit of assistance working out what to do then FightinCowboy has a great walkthrough on YouTube. He's very good at explaining how souls games work and isn't obnoxious to listen to.

Awesome. I've not tried parrying too much in ER yet as I've not gotten the buckler yet. I guess I could just put the parry ash of war on a medium shied that doesn't have parry to get the same active frames though? In DS3 I could land maybe 40-50% of my parry attempts. I was determined to do Champion Grundyr that way bit it didn't quite pan out

Storm Wall or Golden Parry on a medium shield will get you closest to a Buckler's performance; not 100% if it'll be exactly the same but it's def close. Even better if you put them on a small shield. The regular parry ash of war on a medium shield is not nearly as good
But the Buckler is easy to get; Gostoc (the gatekeeper dude in Stormveil) will sell it after you kill Godrick (he'll be in the boss room stomping on Godrick's corpse)
Or you can just immediately kill him when he's at the Stormveil gate and turn in his bell bearing and then it'll be for sell at the twin maiden's shop in round table

The cockpit I bought is great. As a former product designer, I have some qualms with the instructions and lack of precision on a few fits, but nothing that would prevent me from recommending it. I assembled it and while adjusting the position of the controls and the side mounts for the throttle quadrant and joystick, I noticed that they flex a little more than I would like. It's a dual-purpose cockpit, but I really think it's best suited to driving. So, shifting gears (literally), I'm going to mount my Logitech G923 driving controls to it and use it for racing sims. For flight, I ordered the NLR Boeing Military Edition cockpit. It wasn't in stock anywhere but from Amazon, so who knows where it will actually ship from. Delivery by 1/25 (ugh)...
On a related note, I'm seriously considering downgrading my older workstation to Windows XP so I can play some of the old flight games I used to like. I have the new gaming PC with Windows 11 for MS Flight Simulator and newer stuff, but it would be fun to revisit "U.S. Navy Fighters", "Fly!", "MS Combat Flight Simulator", etc.

That's pretty cool dude and thank you for the update.
What steaming pile of boring ass garbage. I’m reaching out to my attorney to file suit against Netflix for labeling this as a psychological thriller. Fuck you Jude law
