I enjoyed Constantine for its season. But I love the comic it's based on so I'm biased.
Outside of the I've been watching The Blacklist.

Is this about a comic book or something?
A graphic novel!

A fan base begins to suspect what is depicted in the graphic novel actually happened (is happening) and then all shit breaks loose. So many twists and turns. It's funny and dark (like Misfits if you've ever seen that). The way it is shot is great from the cinematography to the color pallet of the show. Highly recommended.
I have an extremely faint memory of watching some part of this show, weird

perhaps I need to revisit

We started watching Homeland. Damn. I love it. It's like a more realistic 24 in a way. Claire Daines does that horrible cry face like every episode. I had a girlfriend with the same name as the show character who was hysterical all the time.

I can't watch homeland because of Carrie. She's like a psycho ex girlfriend you have to keep seeing, unless you shut it off.

Finale of Parks and Rec was weak as hell. Honestly this whole season was, kinda of a bummer

So, I started watching Spartacus last night. Does it get better? Cause the CGI blood, slow motion slashes, awful CGI landscapes and "We basically took all action sequences straight from 300" so far are kinda meh.
Story is decent but I was sorta put off by how, cheesy I guess, so much stuff looked. Like I said, only on episode 2 so I'll definitely give it longer.

Won't be able to watch new House of Cards until brother in law can make it over. Wife promised him we wouldn't watch it without him.
We started Jericho. Three episodes in it's OK, but I'm not sensing a binge show. It strikes me more like a two to three at a time and then walk away for a week type of show. Maybe it'll ramp up, but the theme seems a bit stale.

No, it doesn't. Some of my friends were super into it. If I want to whack off to shitty porn, I have the entire internet.
Well damn, that sucks. I mean, yeah, titties, but I have infinite titties for my viewing pleasure at any time.
I'll probably give it a bit longer because the story is just getting going, but yeah, was expecting a bit more I guess.

Oh! Forgot, just finished Season 4 of Game of Thrones. Having not gotten that far in the books myself, parts of it still felt off to me. Like, you can tell, clearly, the show writers are going, "fuck it, we'll do what we want." Saying that made my wife go off on how they've been changing things since season one, but this was the first time where it really jumped out at me that they're not really staying true to the feel of the story.
There were three or four scenes where, were I not so in love with the overall story, I'd have been, "That's it! I'm good." and walked. First time that's happened for this show, and not a good sign for the future of it in my mind.
I hope they pull it back together.
Major

at the behind the scenes footage and interview with the actors whose characters had been killed this season. Lots and lots of funnies in that round table interview.

So, nobody watching Bosch on Amazon Prime? Already half through it - pretty good police / detective story.

I don't know where season 4 is bookwise, but the books are best thought of as an ok trilogy and then forgotten. I wasn't even a big fan of the first 3, they were alright, but I sorta don't get the hype. Book 4 was atrocious and I just gave up after that. No fucks given.
So, what I'm saying is unless they drastically change stuff from the book, expect to walk. (I also realize I am in the minority opinion regarding GoT but I really feel its one of the most overhyped book series of recent vintage. I know its not done. I hope its fans don't expect it to ever be done.)

My wife LOVES the GoT books, but she can listen to the shit on CD so just leaves it playing while she's working. Most likely only paying attention to ever third word or so.
I'm halfway through book two and starting to see it the way I saw Wheel of Time or certain other fantasy novels of that era. Lots and lots of descriptive narrative, fuck-all happens except at cliffhanger moments where they realize they're running out of book and need to make sure there's some hook to make people buy the next one.
Granted, binding methods mean that can be at page 800 now instead of 400 twenty years ago.
I read seventy-five pages yesterday while I was laid up with a back issue. You know what happened? Tyrion talked to three people, Catelynn watched a fight, Sansa took a walk, Cersei threw yet another bitch-fit.

Nice job, GRRM. Way to pad the word count.
The show seems pretty superior to the books most of the time, but some of this last season is pretty "um, what?"

I blew through the whole series on Saturday. The story is pretty typical but the acting is phenomenal. Some of my favorite TV actors like Lance Reddick, too. Oh, and I have had a thing for Annie Wersching since 24.

No to mention the paragraphs of description of good. Look George, I get it. You're a fat mofo who loves to eat. I love food too. But you take it to a completely creepy level. Like really, about as creepy as all the incest you have going on.
Yup, there is a lot of the same feel as the WoT as far as pacing. The difference was I actually (mostly) enjoyed the WoT story and the GoT one I (mostly) didn't.
I kept getting frustrated by story arcs that might have been interesting except, they took so long to get anywhere (if they ever even did) that I was all "meh" by the time it got anywhere. And I'm also not sure at what point "no character is safe" doesn't become as hackneyed as "the hero never dies." I guess if you have no heroes they can all die, but I dunno, it just wasn't my bag at all and I usually enjoy epic fantasy stuff.

I dig the GoT story. Just hate the pages and pages of descriptions of food, or battlegrounds, or dresses, or floppy wieners, or whatever. I get being descriptive, but when you write 100 pages and three actions take place, it's time to cut back a bit.

I sorta dug it at first, but it moves so ridiculously slowly and he keeps introducing new characters and plots and you're just completely left hanging on the ones he already had and I just said "IDGAF" anymore.

Enough GRRM bashing, though I have plenty I could add even as a fan. On topic:
Anybody seen the Ferris Bueller Goldberg's yet? Even the commercial looks epic as shit. "Goldberg. . . Goldberg. . ." And Charlie Sheen . . ."Drugs." And it looks damn near like a scene for scene re-shoot. It's on Hulu waiting for me. I'm excited.

Been on a series binge lately! Here are a few:
Peeky Blinders
Really great show. Sort of the anti-Downton Abbey since it is a similar time period piece. Great acting and writing. The sets and overall look are cool, too. However, I did find the transition from S1 to S2 jarring. Too many things happened between with no real explanation.
Bosch
Incredible cast but the storyline is full of cop show cliches. Acting saves it, though. Plus, Annie Wiershing's ass!

Broadchurch
David Tennent plays a burned out detective who moves to small coastal town and ends up working on a boy's murder. I was super disappointed in this one. The crime ultimately makes no sense and all of the town's "skeletons" are stupid.
Lillyhammer
Enjoyable fish out of water story. It is a one trick pony, though, and it wears thin. Took me several episodes to recognize Little Steven, though.
Gearing up for S5 of Justified today!

Wife & I finally started watching Agent Carter. First episode was so good. Like, thinking about how good it is vs. AoS.....its just sorta sad.
Also, Agent Carter chick.....soooooo hot.

But, for some reason episodes 2 & 3 are not on my DVR so we have to find a place to watch them. But yeah, they could just can AoS and make this a full time show.

By the time it was done that was pretty much my thought. I absolutely refuse to watch another episode of Agents of Sheild. I'll watch every season of Agent Carter if they continue with their original plan. (6-8 episodes every year covering something from the timeline between Captain America and Winter Soldier).
Oh, the Goldberg's episode covering Ferris Bueler was amazing. Like they tried to do the things Ferris did, it blew up in their faces, and somehow they still managed to have an awesome time. Would watch again. This episode is as awesome to me as the talent show episode was last season. Perfect buildup to a huge climax and a musical performance to take it over the top.

Started watching the Goldbergs per your recommendation. Funny show indeed. Only about 4,5 episodes in. I am hoping they unshackle themselves a bit from the shadow of other similar shows (Malcolm, etc.) as the characters and actors are doing a great job. George Segal is excellent as the grandpa. Looking forward to watching more as I don't usually dig most tv comedy.

Started one month free subscription to Amazon Prime. Decided to start Boardwalk Empire. It is really strange watching Steve Buscemi in something other than a Sadnler flick. Really strange in a good way

I am late to this party but I can tell from the first episode it is going to be a killer series. I have never had HBO, so Prime is a nice way to watch some great tv I have missed over the years (Sopranos, the Wire, GoT I hope). Looking forward to continuing on with Boardwalk for sure.
