The Hobbit - 8.5/10 ... It didn't feel like 2 hours and 46 minutes long, so my cap is doffed.
Sherlock Holmes 1 and 2 - 9/10 ... Both movies feel pretty much the same. The chemistry between RDJ and Law is near perfect.

agreed. terrible acting and script too, but i'd give it a 6 for finally addressing the Space Jocky issue in Alien and not being as bad as it could have been.

I'm a huge Tarantino fan anyways, I was not disappointed.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Inglorious Basterds. How do they compare?

I don't know how to compare the 2. They both have great dialog and interesting characters, a Tarantino hallmark. Lots of great lines and blood.

These 2 films, along with the film Carnage, have turned my entire family into huge Christoph Waltz fans. What an amazing actor.

If you haven't seen Carnage, I highly recommend it.

I forgot about Prometheus.

I was bitterly disappointed as it could and should have been one of the best films of the year.

The film was only saved (just) by the sterling SFX and Fassbender's David.

I was forced to go see Pitch Perfect with my wife. I expected it to reach heights of 2/10. Now, don't get me wrong, it was still predictable in most of the ways that sort of movie typically is, but it wasn't NEARLY as horrid as I expected it to be, a few pleasant surprises actually. It was a solid 5.5/10

Looper 2/10

Horrible as Sci-fi and terribly underwhelming as an action film.

Total crap spelled with a C-A-R-P!

A Few Good Men - 11/10
One of the all-time greats, IMO. Plot is basic, simple, easy to follow, but out of this world acting by about as all-star a cast as you could ever assemble and incredible screenwriting make it just badass every time you watch it- over and over and over.

Stake Land was better than i expected it to be. Dragged though. I'd go 4.5 or 5
which "The Thing"? I haven't seen the original. the 80's one is amazing and the newest one is total dog shit.
GBA = fun and useless movie. It's a non-thinker, so why bother thinking about it? I agree with your score though.

Red Scorpion 2/10 It might have been the fever, but the movie made no sense AND sucked balls.
The Hobbit 8/10
Looper 8/10 A time travel movie I liked!?!? Yup, lots of fun and consistent in a self-contained way without getting caught up if it "makes sense" outside the movie. Much better than I expected it to be. Was weird seeing the dude's face CGI'd into a young Bruce Willis though. Could have done without that.

alright i just finished Lucio Fulci's "Conquest" from 1983.

this flick was crazy as all hell. it's an italian/mexican sword and sorcery film starring almost no one notable but features insane violence, tons of gore, and a healthy amount of nudity for good measure. the plot involves a wanderer carrying a magic bow who befriends italy's answer to conan the barbarian and the beastmaster, who join forces to stop the mostly nude, gold mask wearing, sun goddess and her evil band of dog-men henchmen.

it features:

a LOT of boobs
severed heads
brains and other organs
decayed swamp zombies
dolphins to the rescue
beheaded main characters
human to dog transformation
hallucinogenic drug taking wolf people
nude women being ripped in half by spreading her legs so far that it separates her, beginning with her vagina.

caveman fu
zombie fu
spider webb men fu
doppleganger fu
penciled in arrow shooting shrubbery fu

4 stars
check it out

Looper: 7/10 Entertaining and exciting enough to not bore you, but nothing overly spectacular or unpredictable
Lincoln: 8.5/10 Great movie. Great acting for DDL and TLJ. Enjoyed Spader in his role as well. But the end was too predictable :cop:
Safety Not Granteed: 6/10 Interesting movie. Nothing spectacular but had it's funny moments.
Trouble With The Curve: 7/10 Enjoy Eastwood and his grumpy demeanor works perfect for this character. Would have liked to have seen more tits (ANY TITS!!) but I predicted the ending very early on. Still worth a watch.
Savages: 6.5/10 Brutal in parts. Fun in others. Nothing spectacular, but entertaining. Salma Hayek not looking her best in this one.

The Baby (1973) lives up to its billing as one of the most bizarre films of the 1970s. 5/10

Rillington Place: Vintage serial killer action. I believe it came out in the late 1960s. 7/10

Bad Seed (1956): Vintage little girl serial killer action. 5/10

Devil Doll. Starring Lionel Barrymore. I think this one is from the 1930s. Escapes from prison and dresses up like a woman to evade authorities. Shrinks humans to little dolls that he sends off to kill those who put him in prison. 7/10.

Leviathan - 6/10. Entertaining, but I wouldn't watch it again. Seemed like there was too much filler and it was much more Sci-Fi than horror (suck it Netflix).
