Hell ya I wanna hear that clip! Speaking of Lynch you see that Arcane Mr Scary pickup just released? It’s only trem spaced though. I noticed Arcane really into using Alnico 8 on their pickups. I have zero experience with that magnet. I really want to put a higher output bridge pickup in my Rgasm but gat damn it I want double cream and not a Dimarzio.

Here's the FC-12 board - also built by Nice Rack Canada. The digital rack includes an Axe-FX III and Matrix GT1000FX. It's hard to see, but the slide-out shelf near the top holds a laptop with the Axe software and Pro Tools. The empty space was previously occupied by a Mesa Simul 2:90. I don't really need that much power these days and have considered selling it. I need to get some blank panels to clean-up the look. I threw in a picture of the business side of Madison Spare Bedroom to tie it all together.
P.S. Ignore the lack of trim around the window - new windows had just been installed...

What amp models you primarily use in the Snax?
Dudealso those Matrix power amps seem hard to come by. Was looking for one so I could run W/D/W at home and can’t find one in stock!

I haven't seen the new Lynch pickup but Arcane is usually killer. I have no real experience with Alnico 8 pickups either, I tried one from Seymour Duncan in a friends guitar and I didn't like it (can't remember the model). But it was a pickup meant for djent and the guitar was tuned to Drop Z flat so who knows. I'd like to try a proper A8 pickup in a guitar in E or D standard.
Here we go:

Dude that sounds excellent!
What delay ms you using here for rhythm vs lead. I’m still trying to figure out what times are most appropriate for my style. As I mentioned earlier I’ve been using 420ms for rhythm and 520 for leads but feel I could probs go a little longer now that I’m used to playing this wet…

I had the FX8 for a while. It sounded amazing but it was a bit overkill for my needs. But oddly enough, just last night I was thinking I should buy another one eventually. They're getting cheaper these days.
Try the Eventide first ya jabroni.

On this clip is all 400ms, since I only stayed in the modulated patch for the whole thing. But my actual lead patch is set at 580ms with the feedback turned down for a single repeat.

This board is used with a Friedman BE-50 Deluxe that sits on an Avatar 2x12 with Celestion 25w Greenbacks. You can also see the custom flite case(s). There are two, both with wheels and they were built to stack for ease of storage in MSB. The second case is for the FC-12 board that goes with my Axe-FX III digital rack. I'll add pictures of it in a separate post. The second picture shows the board in the custom case. The third shows the storage area for the pedal snakes underneath. I have an image file that shows the wiring diagram and the routing for the splitter box if anyone is interested...
Bruh this is an extremely clean setup! One expression for FX the other for volume0 ?

The pedals can be anything, really. Effects are switched on the FX-8 (patches, scenes, etc.) so the expression pedals are typically volume and Wah, but you can assign almost anything. The switches on the bottom right can also interact. One is latching and switches the amp channels, but the other is momentary so you press and hold for pitch change, swells, etc.
It's a few years old and there are probably better single-purpose pedals for some effects, but the FX-8 sounds great to me and does everything I need. Plus, I really like the all-in-one convenience...

I will try 580ms. The Balance patch on my H90 has like 4 repeats and I really like it. I used it for all of ToL practice last night and I’m going to try it at the show tonight. It’s what’s making me think I need to try an even longer delay time with BCB, and while it may not be too appropriate in that band but fuck ‘em, I’m in exploration mode now.

Man that setup is badass. I was watching Andy Wood on that Pedal Show the other day and he mentioned he uses his expression pedal simply to control his wet mix. Real wet for cleans and ambient stuff and then backs it off for leads and faster riffing. That made a lot of sense to me. I am thinking an expression pedal will be buy my next purchase for the board.

yeah don't you have another guitar player on BCB? I'd go a bit longer if I was playing with a second guitar player. Maybe around 600-620ms...

I'm all over the map - probably because there are too many choices. Since I have the Friedman and Mesa (and a Switchblade), I have the high-gain stuff covered with tubes, so I find myself playing a lot of the clean and effect layered patches. But, the Marshall/Plexi flavored stuff (since I don't have a proper Marshall) and Bogner models are generally where I land.

ok here we go...... Marc's Pedalboard version 8883874 Rev. b ..........Minus my CAE wah that I have off the board.
4CM interface box I built using the Vertex schematic ( https://www.vertexeffects.com/diy-interface ) what's nice about it is it's auto switching between 4CM and direct to the front of the amp depending on which outputs you plug in to... I got REAL lucky that the box fits perfectly in the gap of at the front of the pedaltrain, I just put some dual lock on the side to keep it a little extra secure.
My loom that's just three 1/4" cables in a kit from Pedal Python ( https://pedalpython.com/ ), really easy to set up and the best part is its easy to take apart if I need to reconfigure it later on
and since we're showing the undersides of the boards.... here's my bowl of spaghetti.... I made all the cables myself with the exception of the midi cable between the Voodoo Lab and the HXFX, I used Belden Brilliance 8451 cable (which is a shielded mic cable used in snakes and patch bays) and a combination of the SP400 square plugs and SPS4 compact straight plugs, you can get the cable on Amazon and the ends at https://btpa.com/
The rig configuration is pretty straight forward..... Guitar -> CAE Wah -> Tuner -> Voodoo Lab Switcher -> HX Effects in 4CM with my amp..... the Dunlop Mini Vol/Exp is set up as an expression for the HXFX... 90% of the time it's used as a volume pedal but sometimes I use it to change different effect parameters.
The HX Effects is the heart of the rig, it handles all my Delays, Modulations, Reverbs and any random effects I might need as well as sends the Midi commands to the Voodoo Lab switcher to turn the different pedals on and off....

thanks.....cables could have been neater if I did custom power cables.... but I really didn't have the desire to cut my existing cables since I do change shit up from time to time and don't want to be in a position where I cut a longer cable to work in this configuration and then have it be too short in another layout...

The delay needs more separation to stand out on a denser mix. When I was doing Bad Little Sister we had 2 guitars and I could never hear my lead delay. When we recorded our album, I noticed the engineer was setting lead delays at 600-650ms. I asked him why so long and he said that shorter delays get eaten up by the rhythm guitars. The following practice, I increased my delay to 620ms and all of a sudden I could hear delay on my leads.

I actually ordered a bunch of 30” Cioks power cables so I could route them long way around the rails. For some reason crossing the slats fucks with my OCD.
