yeah I think it was something with that particular guitar. I went to Atomic music yesterday and they had a EBMM with SS frets and I didn't hear any real difference on that guitar. Granted, I wasn't playing it through my rig. But still, I think it was just something about that Yamaha. Which I already returned so :idk: :lol:

The only guitar I've owned with SS frets was that Balaguer guitar. It didn't sound super amazing anyway but I wasn't sure if it was the pickups, frets, or what so I sold it to one of those Djent Balaguer fan boys.

IME they do not sound brighter but they do feel different. Smoother, faster.. in a good way. There are also hardness options for frets, Jescar is pretty darn hard to begin with and they offer a few including Gold which are almost as hard as their stainless and also SS. Personally I want the hardest and longest lasting I can get. Strings will play a role in the longevity, if for ex. You use stainless strings on soft frets you’ll cut them down fast but your strings will last forever lol. If you use something like pure nickel on SS then those will wear and not the frets. ymmv
