and then i know i read you can meet the band for $7k

Chicago floor tickets are $185 a piece...much nicer. But yeah, no way I am spending $500 on a single ticket. Metallica played at the Hardrock in Miami a couple years ago, and I wanted to go, but tickets were $480 or something absurd. No way.

yeah if I was going I'd get upper section for sure. I don't care about being in the nosebleed section.. The NJ shows has tickets for $126 each.. ends up being $347 total for 2... not a problem for me but I don't want to travel to NJ to see these bands. If the same deal was at the Capital One arena in DC I'd go

Our 2 tickets for two days including fees came out to $550 for lower bowl seating. If that would have been each ticket no way. But two tickets and two shows? Not totally awful.

It's definitely expensive but if it's someone I really want to see I'll do it.

Usually there are between 0-3 stadium shows I want to see per year. Other than that most of the bands I want to see are in a amphitheater, theater or even large club level and those tickets are much cheaper..I guess that's the positive side of being stuck in the 80s lol

This year so far I went to WASP/Armored Saint for $90 and Kix for $50. We also already have tickets for the M3 Festival and for The Cure and they were under $200 since we bought the lawn tickets (both shows are at Merriweather Pavillion).

It was great. John Bush was sick and didn't play but they had a replacement singer (forgot his name now) who did a great job. The band was tight as always and sounded good. Guitar tones were not the best, both guitars sounded really harsh, but it didn't hurt the show much, since both Sandoval and Duncan are amazing players and made it work. I've seen them many times and while this was not their best show I've seen, it was still great overall.

Sucks that Bush wasn’t there. I saw him with Anthrax back in the day and he sounded great. Love that dude’s voice.

yeah.. most the shows I go are bands like that so they're not very expensive. I suppose a pop music fan that wants to see 10+ arena acts every year will have a hard time paying for that, but maybe it's an incentive for them to look for more underground, smaller acts to support, which is in itself, not a bad thing.

Not sure how your local stadium is but the Dallas show is at Jerry World (aka Cowboys stadium) and those seats are terrible. It's guaranteed those seats will only be able to view the show on the jumbotron and the sound will be a disaster.

I'd be curious as well. 75% of the seats at the Dallas show will be forced to watch the giant jumbotron at Jerry World anyway so it's probably a higher quality experience at home in your living room.

But if this was for say, Pink Floyd with Gilmour, I'd pay the $500+ no problem and take the drive. The real problem is this line up is not that great. Metallica with Fractals. Pantera without Dime.. Mammoth is actually really good, but I saw them on their own tour last year for $50 at Ram's Head. So I have no need to see them at a stadium. let alone one that's 6 hours away from me.

I think I'd still go to this show if it was local and I could get both tickets for around $400.. but the current price/location/line up just doesn't work for me.
