In the loop and no issues. I think it’s rated for +8dB or something like that.

Damn, it's been a while. Bumping this. Made some changes to the board, a few new additions, a few old friends back on. I'm pretty happy with it for now other than the Budda which I have had forever and isn't doing it for me any more. I've been thinking about replacing it with maybe a Wah Probe? Either way, I'm sure tone neurosis will take over and it'll get changed again soon.

What're y'all rocking these days?

Have you tried the wah probe yet, Beef? I thought I’d love it but wasn’t all that inspired once I tried it out. If you have one and love it, just ignore me. If you don’t have one, pm me your address and I’ll send you one.

I haven’t tried one yet, thanks so much for the offer, PM sent. What didn’t you like about it?

You know, it just wasn't my thing.

A little too subtle I guess? I want Curtis Mayfield levels of wah, this one was just a little too polite for me.
Anyway, I'll get it out to you asap. If you dig it, sweet. If not, you can sell it, continue your search, and try yet another wah.

I’ve currently got two boards going (because I have a problem with moderation).

That’s nice man, I could have fun with either of those. What’s the green pedal on the bottom board?

I haven't put together a pedalboard in quite some time but these were the last two iterations when I did..... probably not the best representation of what I'm currently using now. Mostly just pull everything off the shelf as needed these days.

Thanks man!
It's a modified OD808 circuit made by a super small outfit called Nash Pedals. Three different clipping modes. I don't find it all that close to my Maxon, but it's a good sounding pedal!

I take it you're a Meris fan?

@Beef, I think the only one I still own is the Ottobit. I do enjoy their work though.

Send - volume - [EQ not hooked up yet] - Delay - Reverb - Return
Love a volume pedal in the loop. Former band had a couple songs that had volume swells not gain swells, plus it's a quick and dirty attenuator if need be.
EP delay in front is really only used for Ain't Talkin Bout Love. Morley Maverick wah modded to Cantrell wah spec. Really haven't changed this board much at all in the last 6 or 7 years, hence the dust.

Been fucking around with some new stuff and using both channels of the lynx in parallel. Signal Path:
Tuner - Phase Shifter - Pitch Shifter/Delay (in full Cave In mode) - Waza Chorus - Archer Ikon (set as a signal cut/faux clean channel) - Philly Fuzz Heretic (Germanium Fuzz) - BAE Bowman (klone) - Memory Lane Jr - Flint (1 out into Lynx dirty channel) - OS-2 (into Lynx clean channel)

That’s sweet man, I could have a lot of fun with that board. How’s the Philly Fuzz? I’ve been tempted to get one at times but never fully committed to pulling the trigger.

I am not a fuzz guy at all. It's the one thing i hear other people use and go "damn that's cool sounding" but have never been able to bond with in any real way. I feel like every fuzz i've tried just sucks midrange out and makes the guitar completely disappear in the mix. And i've always been a 2-channel amp guy - a clean clean and a dirty dirty, and i feel like fuzz works best with something in between.
That said, the Philly is the only fuzz i've been able to find usable (for me) settings on. it works well into the gain channel as a solo setting, and sounds cool with the volume cut pedal in front of it engaged too. Honestly I bought it because i'm a massive Baizley fanboy, and have been trying to figure out ways to integrate it into my setup for a while.

Fixin' to build my first board in a LONG time... This is just a mockup for now. Thinking I'm gonna put two crybaby-sized pedals on the right (without the orange mini-foot pedal that's there now). The top-most pedals in this mockup represent what'll be installed above the power supply (2nd tier). I'm leaving space in front of everything for an Arduino-derived looper/midi controller that I'm going to develop myself.

The base of this came from a large road box that I bought off of one of Joe Walsh's road managers (yes, it was owned by Joe Walsh & used by The Eagles, apparently), and will be housed in a custom road cabinet I'm gonna build using materials same that same road box. Kinda cool (at least to this geek

)

Bumping an old thread because I'm too excited about this to not share it

The newest additions are the Special Cranker and the Woodcutter. The Special Cranker with the gain all the way down is a really great transparent, sparkly edge of breakup tone. I've tried a ton of light drive pedals trying to get this type of tone, but the Special Cranker nails it.
The Woodcutter is a really great (and pedalboard-friendly) Rat clone. I have a ProCo Fat Rat with a LM308 that I love, but I needed something smaller so I could fit the SC and the Bowman. This sounds just as good as the Fat Rat, but is half the size.

Old picture as my board is at drummers houses. Only thing that’s changed is that I’ve added a Dunlop 535q. Probably gonna yank both the a.man and possibly the BB. The sd1 just seems to be the only one I actually use with the band. Although I might try putting a new battery in the sun face first. It’s been on their non functioning for a bit

Oh my... I kind of hate what I had set up here
This is what it looks like now:
