Got that saved away in my Evernote now

Unfortunately, the DSL mods thread he started doesn't appear to have been cached

Too recent I guess. I think most of it was the same kind of stuff or about the lack of a feedback stabilisation cap in the PI.

The JVM forum has a lot of great mods, the gain reduction mod removes noise and still leaves you with tons of gain.

Thank you Zozobra!
Was able to save a copy thanks to a gentleman
and scholar
Know these amps get a bad rap for being modern but
prefer the stiffness and higher gain the JVM has.
The only bummer is all the noise the OD Orange/Red
channels have.
Was able to knock the noise floor down to nill
on my SL-X 2100 going after the Plates with
Vishay RN65 resistors. Someone else has that
amp now.
Being a metal player need all the gain in Orange
and wish to use Red at least half way without
a wall of hiss and white noise. Add screeching
feedback to the mix too and makes for
a poor experience.

I was primarily interested in the stuff the stuff he did on the DSL with the tone stack and about controlling heater voltage on the Pre's

...there was something about putting a second (same) resistor on the stock slope resistor to bring it down (100k to 50k so it'd be closer to 48k that's more commonly used or something like that)

I think it was a split load iirc. They have their uses but do add noise and the same result can be achieved with a voltage divider usually unless there is a specific bit if cap tone shaping.

Read through the JVM cache and see he's planning to
add more mods and took down what he posted,
he intends to post more about increasing the gain.
Did the same thing in the DSL post, he added another
mod after taking down the first ones.
Either way thanks for sharing man

Been quite a long time since witnessing someone post
tech and then pull it. Used to be the norm on another
forum but still makes me wonder why it's done.
Anyone know what happened to TTBull ?

Lost my copy of these mods TTBull posted, just now getting
around to ordering the resistors from Mouser and can't find
it.
Did someone have more sense than me and save a copy
of the mods he had for the JVM410h?

Grimespace mentioned above that he saved them in Evernote. Maybe shoot him a PM? Or, shoot a message to TTBull himself perhaps

Sorry I didn't get back to you on the PM hadley101 - had to go searching, but Zozobra beat me to it

And, that copy looks to have everything mine didn't

Thanks Zo!

np dudes. I can't vouch for how good the mods are but at least they're archived now.
