Its made by Italian transformer winder, inMADout. They specialise in high output, full bandwidth transformers and they are priced pretty well. Cheaper and better than Hammond stuff and I can get custom primaries wound. Its good for full bandwidth at 140W.

Some say the AORs really benefit from a OT upgrade.

I am really looking forward to trying out the Laney now. There seems to be a lot of love.

Can anyone explain the biasing process to me for the GH series? I know it has the bias switch, but is there an adjustment pot to dial it in?

So question... I have seen some GH50L pictures that have the large can filter capacitors [blue dual section] that are seen in older Marshall heads, and I have seen other images that don't have the large can filters? I have also noticed that there are different logos/handles for these amps.

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the amps with different head shells?

I just ordered one from the used gear section on Guitar Center's website that looks like this:

as opposed to ones that look like these:

I really hope that mine has the dual section filter caps like my JCM900...

Congrats on the Laney colejustesen! Hopefully someone with more experience with the GH50L can chime in, since I haven't owned one yet.

The newer one (recessed handles) will probably use board mounted snap in caps rather than cap cans. They are harder to replace ( although not a big deal) but snap in caps are usually way better spec'd than can types.

May I ask what you mean by better spec'd?
