Wow, slash and jimmy page for worst lp tones? I guess some guys like that flubby bass already over distorted amp then hit it with a boost od tone? . With bands that have great songs and riffs it becomes less about the tones and more about the song as a whole. That's more shit that musicians and forum dudes worry about then the public or audience at a show. There's plenty of great songs from cool bands that if you were to listen to the guitar track isolated you would hate. and I think that chick from 4 non blondes is rich as hell now as she writes songs as a hired gun for acts like pink , courtney love, and other big names and has been sober for a very long time now.

Page mainly used a Tele for the first 4 Led Zep LP's.

I'm talking about his live LP tone. It could be excellent sometimes but other times ... it was weak/thin.
