No, I'm pretty sure they aren't that smart. I might despise ICP and everything associated with it, but those 2 are geniuses at getting failures to give them giant piles of money.

Godsmack is merely at the "impressive they've stayed even moderately famous for their level of talent and complete non-identity" level. Still an accomplishment, but I say more due to blind luck than anything they've actively done.

Any of you guys want to start a nu metal band? I can't sing or play guitar well, but that didn't seem to stop anyone else.

Can't stand that band. It seems like they were all incredibly huge fans of of late 90's Metallica and capitalized on that.

No.. there are plenty of boy band metal bands. I can't even think of their names right now, but there is a million nowadays..

Gidsmack look like "the 4 Ringo's" in that still shot in the OP.. lol

Sadly, probably true. I guess Godsmack is just the one I've noticed, or noticed the most.

Back when rap metal was gearing up I always thought Linking Pork seemed like a manufactured boy band.

TBPH that actually seems kinda low. They've moved a lot of units over the years. I guess that's why they're still touring/playing.

Supposedly he was worth a lot more and a bunch of investments went south on him.
