Weird ha?

PS - Can you guys see my avatar? i cant lol :idk:

Last month I played a benefit gig for Hurricane Sandy survivors and was approached by a guy w/a Bogner, he liked the tone of my Legacy better than his amp and nearly shit himself when he heard the price I paid. The Legacy is pretty good bang for the buck.

Your avatar is visible, reminds me of my college keg party days, hmmm, good times!

Ya i liked the Carvin tone more in the room

To be fair it was only for 5 mins or so, but the Legacy tone was better and more pleasing to my ears, and for the money it wasnt even close (Bogner was 4X more money as well) -- thanks for the input on the Carvins bro i appreciate it, :-bd its on my radar for future amps

I still cant see my avatar on this computer, but im at work now anyway lol

Carvin has actually made several great sounding maps. I've always been a fan of the x100B /xb100 / whatever it is.

They made another head in the 80's / 90's that I think is called a valve master that is a really great amp. A buddy of mine has one. Sounds like a cross between a fender style amp, and a hermaphrodite Marshall, with Orange like mids.

In my old band I played my dual recto and the other guitarist played through a Legacy... The recto growl plus the smooth upper mid crunch of the Legacy sounded awesome together.

One of my buddies had an old x100b lying around at his place... got to play it a few times and it sounded great.. Nailed the 80s metal tones with boost.
