Horns 7/10
I don't even know how to describe this. Family movie night, let our daughter pick it. Thought I'd give it a shot.
Murder mystery, comedy, drama, supernatural all in the same movie. The end scene made me scream out loud at the tv "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!?!"
Watch if: you wanna see something weird. Don't let the description of the movie fool you. It was actually pretty awesome for what it was.
Random lines:
"I've never had sex with a jigaboo before."
"I really wanna burn my mommy in the bed. With matches. Burn her all up."
"I really want to show everyone my dick." (He did)
The more I think about this movie, the harder I laugh. The part where the cop got shot was fucking priceless.

Knights of Badassdom 3/10 pure stupid but fun . This is the lowest rating I would still recommend , if pot and retard jokes make you laugh .

This Is The End 6/10
I really didn't like Seth Rogen when he first started doing movies, but he's growing on me. I was drinking and in a great mood last night, and was flipping through channels and this had just started, so I figured why not. There were definitely some funny moments, but the dialogue SR spits in his films reminds me of a Kevin Smith ripoff, just not as cerebral. Wasn't so prevalent in this one, and Jonah Hill Possessed after being raped by demons cracked me up. James Franco makes me laugh when he does comedy and this was no exception. Pot movies are kind of wasted on me, but this was funny.

Before I Disappear - 7/10
Good little flick about a guy a guy who's about to kill himself but gets a call from his sister who he hasn't spoken to in years in need of him watching her little girl. He watches her throughout the night as he goes through New York dealing with all the fucked up things in his life. Don't know the main actor but he was really good. The sister is played by the main chick from Shameless.

The ending scene with Danny McBride and Channing Tatum was awesome.
"I call him Channing Tate-yum." Cracked me up. Dude was great for that role too..."I...love...him"

Bad Grandpa 1/10
I gave this movie a 1 because at least someone thought it up and went to pains to get it made. Thanks for comtinuing to make movies....that said, I turned this piece of shit off in the first 30 minutes. This was the worst thing I've seen from the Jackass guys, and this is a group that drank horse come. Don't watch this. It's lame.

Not great by far (especially the scripted parts and ovetall plot) but still provided some lulz

I hate all that Jackass crap but the strip club scene nearly gave me a heart attack from laughter. The movie was far too long. I honestly would have much rather watched a one hour skit without the "plot" thrown in, and just watched the boy and his grandpa do stupid crap

Re: Official Rate The Last Movie You Saw Thread
Watched the new Sin City over the holiday weekend. From what everyone was saying; I expected it to be a -2/10. I would go 6/10. It wasn't as good as the first one for sure; but I thought visually it stood up to the original and I thought overall it was pretty solid. The cast was great but the story itself was a little one dimensional, tbh. I felt like the original did a better job at intertwining the stories. This one not so much. It's worth a watch if you dig crime/noir stuff.

Exactly... i'm glad i heard everyone say how bad it sucked cause going in with super low expectations made it actually pretty good. I'd say 6/10 as well. The original was something new and fresh so it doesn't have that same "wow, i've never seen anything like this" but i enjoyed it. Story wasn't as good as the first but i didn't mind seeing Penny Dreadful naked for just about every scene she was in.

Lowered expectations are definitely the key to enjoying this one. I wondered where I recognized that actress before. We tried watching Penny Dreadful and should have liked it but just couldn't ever get into it

Have you seen the Spirit? ATROCIOUS film. Directed by one of the same guys (Frank Miller, no Rodriguez) with this same great sense of visual style; yet the visuals can't save you from the horrible characters, script and acting. Even as film making techniques advance; you still have to have something of a story to back it up
