It's entertaining and the actors were great picks. Just felt a bit disjointed which I'm thinking it wouldn't watching it as a live show instead of a movie.

I actually just rented this one as my son wanted to watch it. I dig Eastwood so I will probably check it out as well. I am hoping it is more movie than musical.

Well, its not like singing and dancing in the street, the musical portion is kept to appropriate spots. But its filmed like its a play, not like its a movie. That's impressive in a way and Eastwood does a really good job with it, but it also means it didn't flow as nicely as a straight up movie would've.

I'll be interested to hear what you think. It was well done, but the nerd in me likes things to flow nicely and details to be filled in.

We rented this one, Tammy and Life After Beth (which I just realized the significance of the title after typing it out). Pretty much just killing time till we go get let down by Dumb and Dumber To.

Its not non-linear, its just hard to tell how much time passes. Like, obviously years go by, but you don't really know how many. Which annoys me. Its a minor quibble on my part.

Are you taking razor blades to D&D2? I mean, pretty much only my wife being threatened could make me watch that. I hated the first one. I feel I lose IQ points every preview I see of the second.

I was like 22ish when the first one came out and I loved every minute of it. I am very picky about the stupid humor I ingest (Larry the Cable Guy and Jeff Dunham, bad; Napoleon Dynamite (at one point, at least), Hot Rod, Kung Pao good). For that sort of thing; early Jim Carrey stuff can't be beat imo.

The Captive 5/10....don't watch this. I hate child exploitation/abduction movies. This thing made me so fuckin tense I have muscle aches everywhere. Ryan Reynolds was actually pretty deep and intense in this movie...pretty far cry from the explicitly witty guys he's been playing lately...he keeps this up be could end up a great actor.

Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy 10/10...every time. This is fantastic. It's so over the top and random; there isn't a scene in this movie that something weird isn't going on and the dialogue kicks ass. Sam Rockwell as Zaphod Beeblebrox is nothing short of hysterical. Damn I love this movie. It's just so weird I can't not watch it. Plus, John Malkovich, and Mos Def with this really low key brand of humor just slays me every time.

caught Nightcrawler over the weekend. 8.5/10.... reminded me a lot of American Psycho... I sat in the theater the entire time telling my wife..."this guy is insane... look at him... nuts... why would anyone talk to this guy let alone work with him?" lol... Jake Gyllenhaal NAILED the crazy eye look.. super creeptastic

Wreckage - 7/10. Jessie Pinkman plays Jessie Pinkman with bad parents that lead him to be a more psychotic version of himself and actually WANT to kill people. Just for the lulz. Not a bad B horror flick, though the twists weren't really that surprising.

And does Aaron Paul only have one set of clothing and they let him wear it for everything? I swear it's the same shit he wore in Breaking Bad and Need for Speed.

lol... by me saying "I kept saying X" for me that's like me saying it twice maybe three times lol... I don't talk during movies and HATE people that do.... my wife has this ONE friend that if she's coming with us to see a movie I either sit in between them or if the theater is empty a few seats away... they just talk and talk and talk..ugh... really annoying..

Dumb and Dumber To. Don't know how to rate it per se; as a movie like this really shouldn't really need reviewing. You either piss your pants with laughter or it's the dumbest thing you have ever seen. That being said; it was better than expected.

I think it might have been better had the Farrelly's not been involved; interestingly enough. The direction and storyline were kind of tired and Jim Carrey can only do so much. There were some funny gags. I actually give them more credit for getting the picture made than anything else. Sometimes things are a moment in time that can't be recreated (even stupid things like this movie ). No matter how many of the original factors you put back into the equation, you aren't guaranteed to get the magic back.

If you dug the original, go watch for nostalgia's sake. If you are of the Ovid variety and don't like Carrey or the original; definitely don't bother.

Notice I didn't rate it as I can't say I really gave it a chance. Maybe it turns into a decent entertaining film, I don't know. I'm highly doubting it though.

No you were right. I watched it and would give it 3/10. I made sure not to pay for the movie, only seeing it when it became free on Amazon Prime.

I read one of the books about the murders before I saw the movie and it's fucking horrible that anyone would think to even make this film the way that they did.

The first victim, Marc Schiller, was a decent family man whose only error was befriending one of these assholes. The other victims, Frank Griga and Krisztina Furton, were also by all accounts really nice people. Sure he made money at the phone sex business and she was a former dancer, but who cares? I lost respect for everyone associated with this movie.

I finally saw it this year and i though it was pretty awesome.

loved the adams books, loved the movie. havent seen the show.

Oh yeah, I can understand the appeal if the viewer had no reference to the original.

Can;t remember the name of the movie, but it was staring, written, directed by John Favreau and it was about cooking.

It also stared Scarlett Johansen and Sofia Vegara. 10/10 would watch again.

it's called Chef. Very good feel good movie. A bunch filmed in Austin too. And my buddy Gary Clark Jr plays a whole song in it! (my only claim to fame)
