if by not a fighter pilot movie, you mean almost entirely inaccurate portrayal of aerial combat, you're right. shit is ridiculous. maybe we should have a discussion about fighter tactics sometime, i love that shit. jet washes dont send jets into unrecoverable flat spins. aircraft don't fly fly in straight lines, almost in formation, when in WVR BFM engagements. a split-s WAS the right maneuver. there is nothing impressive about a 4G negative dive, other than being able to withstand the redeye.
if by not a fighter pilot movie, you mean it doesn't have a bunch of badass shot's of tomcats flying around the desert and some cool footage of a cvn flight deck, one of the coolest and most dangerous daily operations in the world, and is watched, quoted, mocked, but loved by most of the naval and even usaf fighter community, then you're fucking wrong.

sister-in-law-to-be in town, redboxed "the other woman" pretty damn funny and kate upton looks KILLER in it. 7/10. the breakdown scene at the end with the glass was funny, but a little over the top.

Admittedly better than I thought it would be.
Also, have I mentioned how shitty Godzilla was? Cranton's acting was so over the top in a bad away.

Watched both of these last week....would agree.
EOT was funnier than I thought it was gonna be, and turned out better than I was expecting.
Also, agree on Godzilla....damn I was disappointed. Although hearing that patented Godzilla scream in a movie that isn't on in the summer on TBS was pretty fuckin awesome, and I dug the idea that he's a force of nature designed to take out monsters before they populate too much. That was cool.

Creepy but like most British films not over the top. Couple jump moments. Not really much in the way of characterization but you get the point. Not bad.

This movie actually rivals The Phantom Menace on levels of stupidity. Plus, the actors who play Peter and Harry have to be the goofiest looking mofos in Hollywood.

Pompeii (vc redboxed it) : 5/10 gladiator with fireballs.
Palo Alto: 6/10 dazed and confused but a bit darker and a bit sadder, but not really enough to be dark or sad on the surface. more of what they dont show that gnaws at you a bit.
