Still watching Warrior. 2 episodes left to watch? Excellent show. Seriously. Watch it.
Started Outcast. I believe I watched a few episodes when it came out, but didn't grab me then. It's solid? I will give it a few more and see where it goes. I like the idea of it; but there are some actors and things about it that aren't really tripping my trigger so far.

Just discovered a comedy series called "still game," about 2 mad old Scottish guys around a rough part of glasgow. You'll probably need subtitles.
I don't know how i missed this before, as its been around 15+ years. I've been binge watching it, pissing myself.

I think I've seen this one. On PBS late night years ago

On another comedic note and speaking of p!ssing myself; Chappelle Show is on Netflix. It's the funniest thing ever made. I love when he came back to stand up. He brought such a great perspective and just next level of awareness. I wouldn't ever want that to go away. But the Chappelle Show is all hilarious on a purely visceral level. I literally laugh the whole g*dd@mned time. He isn't jaded or as (justifiably) disappointed in the world as he is now. And for good reason. We need his voice as it is now. But for pure sh!t your pants laughter; the original series is absolutely peerless in my eyes.

Which one? We're almost at the end of what's available for Warrior. Sucks because I have a feeling it's going to go out for now on a cliffhanger

I think I've seen this one. On PBS late night years agoIf it's what I am remembering; there was an episode where the one old man wants to get a new apartment. There's a death in the other guys building so he invites him over to the funeral to "pay his respects" but is basically just there to look at the apartment. It was hilarious. I need to dig it up as I only caught an episode or two but had a great laugh with it

Dunno if you're into Dave Letterman, but he's got an episode of his show "My Next Guest" with Chappelle. Seeing him not completely locked into his comedic side was really way fucking cool. Very interesting dude.
FWIW, those "My Next Guest" shows are all pretty damned good. I even made it through the Kanye and Kim Kardashian episodes without wanting to stab myself in the eyes. The way Dave picked on Kim when they were shopping together was fucking hysterical.
So, as if 2020 isn't going shitty enough for the world, here's a list of things I've watched since January 1st:
The entire Twilight series, again.
True Blood
Vampire Diaries
And in the middle of The Originals.
Then the wife wants to watch Legacies (last two are spinoffs of Vampire Diaries).
I will never want to see another shitty teen drama vampire related show ever again in my life. Every character in this things is utterly atrocious and despicable, yet everybody loves everybody, when they aren't all killing each other. They had to have been written by somebody with the mind of a twelve year old girl trying to be edgy and cool. Gawd damn.
Supernatural Finale is in the queue for this evening. Man am I gonna miss that show's self-awareness.

Re: What shows do you watch?
^I do like Letterman in general. Chappelle is always too deep for most rooms anymore. But that's a good thing, overall. The Chappelle episode was great as was the Robert Downey episode. Letterman gets a little too woke for my taste in spots when he doesn't need to. I will absolutely not watch anything with any Kardashian in it. I just can't.
As far as dumb(er) standup goes; we watched the latest Kevin Hart special. I really dug the shit out of his first few specials. Then he got a little too big and hit that tipping point where he's just too fucking rich and out of touch with everyone else' reality to stay funny. This latest special was great. Small setting and oddly enough; while talking about things only uber-rich priveledged people have to deal with; did it in a relatable and self-deprecating way that worked great. Highly recommended.
We watched the first few episodes of Goldbergs S8 and I know it's been absolute cookie cutter for years but GODDAMN were you right. The same. Damn. Thing. Every. Fucking. Time. A little bit of snide and nihlism would go a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way in this show FFS. Everything doesn't have to always wrap up with a fucking group hug after 23 minutes. JFC.
Been watching more of Still Game and you definitely need those subs
but it's great

I've got to disagree with Kevin Hart. I tried to watch it and the Chris Rock special and they both failed the 10 minute test, though Hart actually made it a little further. They just repeat the same thing over and over again to try and milk a point to make it funnier, but they're not really that funny to begin with so it seems like stalling to me. I guess I'm getting used to that Chappelle pace and nobody can match it to the point where I have a hard time enjoying it.

I can see that. Kevin's approach was a lot smaller in scope in this special. It was a little more meandering. I have never really been much of a fan of Rock as a stand up or on SNL for whatever reason? I do like him on Fargo this season and I do think he's talented. I liked his special wayyyyyy back (name of which I can't recall) but that's been it for the most part.

If you liked early seasons of Goldbergs, I'd suggest watching this weeks episode. It's the first one in several seasons that didn't feel like I was watching a repeat of every episode from the past couple years. I think Adam may be back to working on the show now that Schooled got canceled. Schooled was way better than Goldbergs once it took off, but I'm thinking that was his focus.
For a start, mom wasn't the perfect person while destroying everyone's lives and it felt like believable conflict and resolution without the massive face-slap of stupidity we've been seeing. And they did one of my favorite things by having the girl play her own mother, then interviewing her about her relationship with Adam in the end credits. They haven't done anything like that in ages. And you could just feel this lady had something real about her when she was playing the part. That sort of authenticity can't be faked.
Not that I'm saying it's AS good as the first couple seasons, but it's definitely more in that realm than the rest of this season has been.

Re: What shows do you watch?
Supernatural's finale was gut-wrenching. We knew it would be because Jensen said he spent two weeks pissed off at the world when he got the final script, but after it had sat with him he said he understood that really, it was the only way it could go.
I wonder if, after it sits for a bit, they won't have Sam's kid in his own show with Sam popping in here or there as a mentor? My wife pointed out the kid had the tattoo to block demon possession, so at the very least we know the kid had to know a little something about it.
I was a little sad Baby got left in the garage covered for long enough to have a thick layer of dust on the canvas. Great attention to detail, but sad.
Damn am I gonna miss this show.
We also watched the Fresh Prince Reunion. That was a good time and they got surprisingly poignant with it. Seeing the second Aunt Viv welcome the first Aunt Viv home was kinda a tear jerker moment followed by the surreality of the two Vivs hugging each other like old pals having never met before. Talking about James/Uncle Phil was a little on the sad side too.
Lots of great behind the scenes footage. The chat of their breaking the fourth wall with several shots from the show was absolutely hysterical. That one where Carlton was supposed to act freaked out and then he just loses his god damned mind and starts dragging himself across the floor then runs out into the audience still screaming and flailing around was super lulz. He said he remembers at that moment it was like something in his brain just snapped and he didn't even really know what he was doing.
Worth a watch if you dug the show.
