I had to return my Ampeg

Post by _ej_ »

A few weeks ago I purchased an Ampged J12T. Fantastic sounding little amp but the other morning it started cutting out on me. Since I got it at GC I figured instead of screwing around with it I'd just return it. Its a bummer.

The only is good thing is that I'm going to use the money to buy a sexy '60s Ampeg Rocket.

I am a big fan of Ampegs, but the new ones do not seem to have the heart of the old ones. Would love to see someone really bring the name back properly. I have had a few of the J12T reissues, and they were decent. The handwired series they made a few years ago, before being sold to the Vietnam made mess they are now, were outstanding. Find one of thoise, and you will have a winner. Sano vintage amps, were made by Ampeg, or employees of Ampeg. Had on the cheap, and really good vintage amps for the money.
