3rd party VSTs & Amplitube products, unpossible?

Post by Eddy Current »

I have a few Amplitube VSTs and I load them in Reaper. This is easy enough but what I want to do and don't know if I can or how to do it if I can is load 3rd party VSTs in the Amplitube chain. For example, let's say I load Amplitube Jimi Hendrix and use the included Univibe and a fuzz pedal. So far so good but AJH does not have a delay pedal or rackmount feature so what if I want to use a 3rd party delay between the Univibe and fuzz? Not a typical placement but this a for instance.

What I can do so far is open a 3rd party delay and place it before or after AJH but not inside it, in other words using Amplitube as a VST host I guess.

so something you could try would be to have amplitube twice on that channel. One with just the amp and one with just the rack effects and throw your VST in the middle of those. Worth trying at least.
Amps:
Mesa Mark V
JVM 210H
Blackstar HT-100
Blackstar Ht-5
Peavey Ultra 60
Cabs:
JCM 900 1960a
Marshall Mode 4 280
Mesa Widebody 1x12
Guitars:
2011 Les Paul Traditional Plus
2005 Les Paul Studio
2004 Ibanez RG470 MIJ

That's what I would do.
