I saw that. Title was funny but I wasn't sure how uncomfortable the premise would make me

Yeah, i thought the premise sounded stupid but we were out of TV to watch so tried it out and watched all 6 episodes in a row. It was actually more heartwarming than i thought it would be while still having the good british humor.

Most importantly... it has the girl from Misfits:

I have never heard of Misfits. The premise sounds great

Oh man, Misfits is wonderful. Some people will say the last few seasons weren't as good as the first 2 and i somewhat agree but i loved it from beginning till end. There's a weird cast change thing that happens to one of the leads which kinda throws you off and by the end it's entirely different cast of new characters but overall, way up there with my favorite shows.

Yep - I think it starts back in June.

I absolutely would have been one of those programmers if I'd been about 2-3 years older at the time that show covers.

Started watching Peep Show. Early 2000s british comedy about two idiots who live together. Kind of a first-person POV with accompanying inner monologue riff on the Odd Couple. It is sort of odd, but is truly funny as f**k if you are into perverted british humor.

Arrow- Its sort of the opposite of A.o.S. Its decently written, well directed, decently acted, the fight scenes are well done, and the story doesn't suck. Been enjoying the heck out of it. Netflix just needs to get season 3.

My ol lady was watching some thing called Wolf Hall on PBS last night. Holy shit...I've never seen anything so boring in my life. If it got anymore exciting, a golf game would have started.

It's HBO Now now.

We're looking at now now. Everything that's happening now, is happening now.
What happened to then?
We passed then.
When?
Just now.
When will then be now?
Soon.

Anyway, we're on a 30 day trial with it and have been less than impressed. Sure, it has all the episodes from all the seasons of TONS of HBO shows (Eastbound and Down yo!), but the streaming is for shit. Great quality when it functions, for five minutes at a time before it crashes trying to cache. I'm hoping they're just working out kinks, or figuring out their capacities, but you'd think a company that size would have some capability of anticipating demand before they launch.

If you have Amazon Prime, quite a few of the HBO shows are on there.

In order to do that in our house we'd have to activate our XBox gold account and man, that is absolutely NOT worth it cause Amazon Prime would literally be the only thing we'd use it for. I play XBox games offline, have no desire to go down the paying Microsoft for the privileged of accessing another company's properties through our ISP's bandwidth.

The pilot episode is terrible teen horror movie cliches and bad dialogue and the premise is cheesy as fark, but it gets really good very fast after that.

Edit: Season 2 is like if Fallout was made into a tv series!

We are digging this as well.

I just finished The Fall and that was a pretty great show. Holy hell Gillian Anderson is still insanely attractive. Even more-so with the English Accent. She was adorable as the SIRPC on Top Gear too.

No.

I can see using a big screen as a monitor, but the whole media center PC in the living room idea just pushes all the wrong buttons for me.

Basically, get off my lawn.
