Help! Zoom G5 / Line 6 HD 400 / TC Nova system / Boss GT#

Post by harwood »

I am moving from loads of pedals to multi-fx for the ease of use live.

I love the look of the Zoom G5 as it looks easy to use in clear sections
I have been recommended the HD 400 as it should be better than the G5
I threw the nova in there because its another option.

I would be using the pedal as a back up to my amp, where i could just turn up and plug in to the PA should my amp die.
Effects i am using at the moment are;

Tube screamer
delay
chorus
reverb
noise gate.

HELP PLEASE!!!! :idk:

I LOVE my G3 and MultiStomp. Great sounding and so easy to program. I have never like the sound of Line 6 models. Of course, the Nova is top notch but a LOT more expensive.

I've had a zoom g9.2tt in the past and still have a 606 in a drawer somewhere.
I liked them, but they didn't sound 'amazing', they did sound 'alright' though.

at the moment a g5 is £200, and both the HD400 and nova are around £300.

to throw another spanner in the woks I had also thought about a second hand GT8

Had the g5 and returned it. It colored my tone when I had everything off. It was a pretty big difference though the effects did sound good.
