I'm locked into a satellite contract until March. So come that time, I'll be cutting the cord. Only time I watch TV is a few Adult Swim programs and the rest of the time, I keep the volume low and fuck around on my laptop.

+1 on the Roku - Netflix & Prime are good. What's also great is Plex as a media server - especially when you get hooked up with a few friends & share libraries. Been able to ditch pay teevee for 6 months (even with young kids) and no fucks given.

But saving $100 a month on idiot cable meant I just went to the local awesome bar and had a blast with friends to watch it.
It sucks because its literally $35 more for me to have cable than just internet. I hate having no legit options but comcrap and if they're going to bend me over for internet for $65, I may as well binge on sports for another $35.
Outside of that, its netflix for everything but Agents of Shield which we DVR and watch in groups of 2-3 anyway.

Ive been without it for almost 6 years & no fucks given. I just find stuff I enjoy & buy the DVDs. I check out DVDs from the library too.
The $5 DVD bin at Walmart is your friend.

Went through both seasons in 2 weeks. Phenomenal show all the way around... one of my favorites ever.
Just when you think it can't get any better.... in walks Tom Hardy......
Need Season 3 to happen sooner than later.
Watched the first episode a while back when it was first added to NF and it was a snoozefest. Maybe I need to rewatch? For all intents and purposes it should be right up my alley, genre-wise.

I enjoyed the first episode but all it did was garner interest. It took several episodes before i was all in and then there was no letting up after that. It's fantastic story writing, great acting, the set design and cinematography is all top notch.... man, it's great. Definitely give it a chance. Season 2 gets even better.

I will check it out again. To be fair, I watched it late on a Sunday night after a loooooong weekend Probably not a good time to start a new series. I like the cast and the plot is totally in my wheel house.

Not even a comparison between the two
Not even a comparison story wise or quality wise?
Story wise i think it's obvious so hopefully that's not what you're referring to.
Quality wise, you're right.... Peaky Blinders is better
But in all seriousness, the first 2 seasons of Boardwalk were incredible. It went downhill from there but still remained a quality show which i enjoyed to the very end. I have the same feelings for the first two seasons of Peaky Blinders only I liked the pace of Peaky better. Acting and writing are close for both.... I don't know, it's really good.

I dunno I liked pesky blinders but I couldn't watch more than a few episodes without getting bored. I could binge the fuck out of boardwalk. Maybe i need to revisit peaky blinders

If you didn't like it you didn't like it but i recommend giving it a longer chance. Once you invest in the characters it is well worth it.
Boardwalk is fantastic all the way around. But i really feel that the writing quality is comparable. So many good twists and turns and it gets better with each episode and season.
