Wanted to buy: Vintage TS9 early 80's tube screamer: $250

Post by thefyn »

Must have the JRC4558 chip, a pre CE mark on the underside label. Silver or black label with lots of green resistors etc on the board.

Need it unmodified.

Will pay less for one with issues such as only works with battery, non working LED etc but it has to be sonically sound etc. Willing to pay $250 for it.

Don't these routinely go for like $500?

Well, if he was willing to pay $500, he wouldn't have to post a thread.

I'm just thinking, "good luck." I would kill for one at that price.

Can't you just buy the chip and put it in a TS-9?

I once you apart a crappy 15 watt Kustom amp that didn't work, and it had THREE of those chips in it.

Gave the whole thing to a buddy to use for parts.
