That tuning definitely has a unique sound to it and makes for an interesting listen. Thinking mans music, lol. Nice job, I'll be listening to this one a few times over.

Thanks man! It's a fun tuning...it's drop B on the lowest 3 strings, then standard tuning on the highest 3...gives you a nice wide interval between the 3rd and 4th string...very fun to mess with. I think I'm gonna leave my Parker in this tuning for a while!

I did a couple of them.. Both of these takes and guitars have the Duncan 59/Custom hybrid. The first is in a floyded Flying V I made tuned to drop B, The other is my Explorer I made to an exacting copy of a Gibby tuned to Drop D flat. YOu can really hear this mid range snarl these pickups have.. .. Although I may have got a little bit much of the dust cap with the mic, but meh...
Cool.. Thanks.. The first one I did(the Dflat one) was kinda trying not to play to how suggestive the drums were.. THe 2nd one, I said fuck it!@ lol Getting the little gallop kinda locked in with the kicks gets a bigger tone..
And KZ, is tthis an Atheist drumtrack..? Reminds me of somthing off of Elements!

Both clips kick sum serious azzz, but what is that super fast/crazy lick towards the end? Can you give me an idea of what you are playing there? I'm having trouble visualizing where to begin on something like that, lol.

Thanks! I've thrown out a tun of tracks with the HD 300 and no one has been able to guess what it was, so you're not alone, lol. For metulz recordy on the cheap n' easy it can't be beat.

Its really not as crazy a it sounds! I basically had the chord I was playing which was sumthin like this G. 9 D. 7 A. x E. 5 (this is dropped d actually)
And all I did was pick out each note of the chord while adding an open before each note.. So I would hammer on 0-5, then 0-7 on the d then 0-9 on the g and then back down, and just move the chord around doing the same thing..

Cool, I never thought it could be something that simple. I tend to over analyze and make guitards more difficult than they should be, lol. I'll have to try dat chit out.
Also, you mentioned the drum track sounding like Athiest....I didn't really hear that initially but while listening to your jams there were parts that sounded like lost Athiest tracks from Unquestionable Presence and Elements. Little bits that jumped out at me. You really pulled the Athiest out of the drum tracks with your playing. Hot stuff!
