My kind of Jam !!!!
It's like post-rock guitar with a chick singing.
Kitten
not to be confused with the crappy metal band "Kitty".
(BTW, the dude is rocking a Stomp Under Foot Hellephant)

Yep I dug this as well. Lots of space to what they have going on if that makes sense. Ripping guitar tone too.

Awesome dude!
FWIW, This band (Kitten) did the best Smiths cover I've EVER heard.
Most artists who cover the Smiths strip the song down to a simple arrangement in an attempt to be raw and real, effectively destroying the grandiose vibe of the original tune. This one sounds fuckin huge. I think I like it more than the original, which is total sacrilege.

Re: My kind of Jam !!!!
so.. I bought the new record based on that tune in the op. To me it was kinda Sigur Rós ,ambient rock with a cool flavor . The rest of the recording however is pure shit . sorry but it's a material girl total wanna be and sadly falls very far from the little spark they have in that one tune . poo

not your fault , someone steered her in the wrong direction , that tune is the only "band" tune on it all others are electronic drums and bad 80's synths .Katy Perry sounds like Sgt. Peppers compared to it .

Fwiw, I got the album too, and I love it. Tracks 2 and 3 are the only sings I don't like. It all sounds very 80's pop and her voice is spectacular.

Dude, Fretless, I'm sorry the synth pop isn't your thing. Her voice turns me on in a bad way. Love the moaning quality. It's like Roxette mated with New Order. Track 4 is like one of my favorite songs ever, atm.

I read the thread and thought "awesome, more hipster shit" and then I hated the song and felt that it confirmed my initial suspicions.

I like the 1st tune enough to buy it it would have been awesome to have been more of that , like Björk meets Sigur Rós , don't get me wrong I like plenty of Madonna , Annie Lennox , Gaga , Rihanna stuff . Just this new release needed stronger material for her to break in me thinks .
