Godsmack always was, and will continue to be, the metal world's answer to the boy band. Formula band members. Formula songs. Formula riffs. It's seriously like some executive somewhere knew all the ingredients to create a metal band and/or song, and thought it should just work because he managed to shove all those ingredients into the same place at the same time, with absolutely no soul, no feeling, and no idea of what the actual HEART of metal is.

I can't even summon a witty reply. That's how indifferent I feel about them.

As ashamed as I am to admit it, when I was in middle school I bought the first Godsmack CD for my friend's birthday at a Hot Topic. I felt so out of place without creeper shoes or baggy pants with straps hanging off of them.
But yeah, I am probably out of touch. My ass hasn't been in a mall in probably seven years.

Yep. Whenever all these chode bands started popping up I came to the realization that I needed to find music on my own.

Actually listening to this, the lyrics are hilarious. Utterly self-non-aware that they're attempting to feel sorry for themselves for their fame. Sully so desperately wants to be Hetfield. He can't even manage to pull the whining about his fame routine as good as Hetfield.

Also, has anyone else ever thought that maybe GS is the ICP of radio rock??! I mean maybe we're all just getting trolled the fukk on and they're making mad cash. Who knows, but it sounds plausible.
