Odd, I totally agree; I'm a sucker for a Silverburst LP. The problem is I can't play a LP, I'm strictly a superstrat player. This is why I ended up commissioning this last year.

Thanks. I was pretty happy with the outcome. I've always wanted a Silverburst LP, but every time I played an LP it never felt right. It's probably from playing Ibanez since '87 and my FP JEM from '89 to '96. Then I tried to "upgrade" in the early 2000's to Gibson, Fender, PRS, etc and can't play anything but a superstrat. :idk: Sucks, but it is what it is.

Touche. :D I should take a photo with the fretboard protector off, it has a rosewood board.

i dont know if you read my royal decree, but that guitar breaks the rules of silverburst. normally, this would send you to the penis guillotine, but its a fretless, so you are spared by a rarely seen bylaw. if that thing had frets, your dick would be shorter. by royal decree.

another thing that bothers me and will be enforced by my empire....spraying 1" of black around the edge of something does not a fucking burst make. observe LP examples above.

all my silverburst love, as specific as the case may have to be to earn it, that goldtop bigsby has my genitals at attention.

My sincerest apologies for going against such a royal decree, but the penis guillotine wouldn't have much of a job to do...

I dig it and it's a wicked player.

No -- R7, 2006 model. Came stock with the black parts, it also has the dark back.

I have an uncovered '79 T-Top in the bridge now that smokes.

That is a tough decision... The Silverburst looks good on other style of guitars, whereas I think the Goldtop only looks good on carved top guitars. There is only one stipulation for me on the Goldtop... it has to have cream appointments. I don't like the black pickguard, rings, knobs on a Goldtop.

If I had to choose one today, it would be a Goldtop.

Thanks, I love it. Even if it has been :crap: upon in this thread, it's a spectacular guitar in my eyes. 100% what I wanted and plays like a mofo.

Fretless? Yeah, I'm not ready for that. I suck bad enough with frets, I don't need anything to make playing more difficult.
