Extreme live meltdown

Post by GuitarBilly »

Last weekend at the ROCKLAHOMA festival... first Nuno's guitar is out of tune with the rest of the band so he decides to just leave the stage. Eventually the bass player stops playing too leaving Cherone and the drummer to finish the song (and the show) alone:

What an appropriate song for this to happen during. Although Tragic Comic or Rest in Peace would have worked too. It's hard to see why this band imploded and they've barely played together for most of the last 20 years. Looks like Nuno didn't like what he saw there and decided to get the funk out. :thu:

Sounds like the bass player was half-a-step sharp to Nuno. You can hear someone say, "Patrick, half-step down."

You know, the stories I've heard about dealing with Nuno makes it seem like he's about the most persnickety bitch to have ever made it to the big stage. And yeah, I know that's saying something.

So, this is them sucking worse than usual?

*Ok, even I can tell this is an utter trainwreck and things aren't in tune with each other. However, I think even being in tune this would've sucked. No, I know it would've.

OK, actually watching it I think the bass player probably walked because the dickbag singer pointed at him and screamed, "STOP IT!" Nuno was just being Nuno, so no shock there.

It doesn't sound like Nuno was out of tune with the rest of the band. Gary was singing in the same key as Nuno's guitar. The bass was what was off...it was at the same pitch as the recording, but wrong for the performance?
