Social Distortion fans?!?

Post by Telephant »

Wasn't big on these guys until a few years ago and now I love them. This song in particular is the shit:

Course there is always this:

This song off the last album is cool too:

And you can't front on Mike Ness' guitar tone. It always sounds perfect for the context. :idk:

Damn tough crowd. The tone he gets out of those modded Bassman heads and P90 LP is awesome.

Apparently his Gold Tops are all 70's Norlin Deluxes.

Yep, Billy Zoom. I always forget which guy it is, because John Doe (i.e. the bass player from X) mods amps too. I love Social D.

A Capo? His voice makes more sense to me now.

This makes me want to go check out some Zodiac Mindwarp and Circus Of Power.

It's the one thing that has always grated me.

It's like every movie Kevin Costner makes, he's the exact same character.

Watching Zodiac Mindwarp now. It's obvious where Turbnegro gets their schtick from.

And it fucking rocks.

LOl My brother and I were talking about how in Robin Hood everyone has an English accent and yet Costner sounds exactly the same as he always does.

Kinda like Game of Thrones. They are all English/Irish/Scottish actors except for one dude. Peter Dinklage. And I'm not sure what fucking accent he's doing but if we're being honest its pretty terrible.

I never really got into em man. Jack loves them, but I just don't get it. But I love shit that he doesn't get at all, so its cool.
I like the 2 songs we do, which are the ones that you posted first, but really, that is about it, and I only like our version of Ball and Chain. Theirs is not aggressive enough for me. SD's version of Hwy 101 is good, but I can't fucking listen to their version of Ball and Chain. Bores the fuck outta me.

His tone is badass though. I will say that. Who would have thought that a Bassman through a Marshall with an OD would have that much balls :D
