Muse?

Post by 21_guitars »

Okay, I heard a couple of songs on the radio and didn't care much. The local radio dude made a statement like "more chicks than a Muse concert" about some event. I completely dismissed them until I read the the guitar player uses a Diezel VH4 so I thought he can't be all that bad.

Here is a link to a youtube from a Japan concert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Qe_UC4XjgM

The first time I listened to it his voice started to bother me, but the guitar playing is great. Now I put it on every once and a while and enjoy it!

Not going to buy a CD but they do put on a good show it seems.

I kinda like their older stuff, but they aren't a band I listen to with any frequency. Seems like the dudes in the band have a good sense of humor (and good gear)

Yep, I just didn't expect to like them at all. Great gear and Kate Hudson, I'm very jealous!

Not my favorite band either, but I do enjoy them and they've put on the best show I've seen to date back in '07.

Believe their guitarist uses Mills Afterburner cabs, too. Thought that was pretty interesting.

They're about my fave band in the world. Their rig rundown videos are pretty awesome. Huge sound for just 3 (and 4) guys. Have seen them twice- best shows I've ever been to. Their latest, The 2nd Law, took some time getting used to but it's just as good as the rest of the stuff for me.
Absolution is my favorite with Black Holes & Revelations a close second.

They are one of the less sucky. The newer tolerables. They're alright with some sparks of good.

Their earlier albums are great, the newer stuff is good but different. Seen them twice, they always put on a great show. They definitely rank up there in best live show I've ever been to.

Great band. I was into them more at college though.

I liked Origin of Symmetry and Black Holes, but I haven't been able to get into any of their last few releases. They seem to have turned into a spiritual mix of U2 at their most tedious and Queen at their most tedious, only louder. :idk:

Also, and I confess this is a problem with me, not them, but they dropped several wide notches in my opinion when I heard they were Stephenie Meyer's favorite band.
"If there was only a way that I couldn't even any less than I already can't then I'd gladly not, but I think I've entered some quantum paradox, dark matter levels of can't evening where the total absolute value of not evenness exceeds all ability to explain the can'ting." - MR RUBATO
