Only really familiar with Deliverance and Wiseblood. Of the two, I like Deliverance more. I've heard bits and pieces of other stuff, but I really have to be in the mood for them. I remember there being a song or two on America's Volume Dealer that I liked, and I know I've listened to the one that came out after that, but I can't remember a thing about it.

I like everything from Blind, to In The arms Of God. The last offering (Without Pepper) had a few good songs on it, but seemed to go back to their early kinda stuff.

Americas Volume Dealer gets flack for being "too polished", but I love that album. "Live Volume" is one of my favorite live albums (and concert DVD's) ever. Some of that stuff sounded killer tuned down & slowed down abit, compared to Studio versions.

Like mashed potatoes..they're good, but way better with Pepper.

Pepper Keenan & Woody Weatherman are 2 of my fave guitar players. Woody''s got that KILLER vibrato. Love Peppers riffs & love both of their toans. Some really yummy Mesa Boogie toans to be heard.

I was a big fan during the late 80s, when they were pretty much the best hardcore/crossover band on the planet. I'm not as big a fan of the more recent, sludgy stuff, but I'm really happy they're still around and able to do it for a living.

LOL. Pepper's a pretty cool down to earth guy.

I wish I had one of those ESP SG's that he & Woody have. ESP made each of them 2 SG's. No ne else has them, and the Custom shop wont make em for anyone else.

One of my good friends tours with them and runs sound. He has nothing but great things to say about them. I LOVE Blind, but I kind of fall into the minority with that as everyone is always into Pepper fronted C.O.C. It is amazing as well, just like the more metallic direction that Blind was in.

Love me some COC, but only with Pepper. Hopefully Pepper comes to his senses and stops fucking around with Down and does another COC album soon. Don't get me wrong, I like Down. But COC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Down.

This is my feeling too. One of those bands that judging by other bands I like I'd think I'd love these guys. But, really, a song or two here or there does enough for me.

I listen to alot of their stuff, pretty much all of the time. I get on kicks where I play their stuff on guitar.

Last night plugged my Drop # tuned guitar in & instantly fell into some COC stuff. Mostly just trying to figure out good ways to do the rythm stuff & tastefully throw in lead stuff to fill the fill the voids. Kinda finding that medium between COC style harmonics & Woodroe's badass vibrato, & that good "tight" Pepper rythmic chug . Way cooler when you have a 2nd guitar player, but still fun to do on my own, just dicking off at home.

On the "slower" / trippy side, I learned a tiny piece of 13 Angels that I'd left out for years & never realized. Did something by accident & was all "wait a minute..THATS how thats supposed to be".

Nothing difficult about their stuff. Just fun to play.

Good call on this. COC with Pepper is most bad-ass. Need him back where he belongs.

Yeah. That's a fave of mine as well. I love the version on live volume. Slowed down a bit & heavy as fuck. A friend of mine always loves to play 7 days when we jam.

COC is the only reason I have any desire to own a Mesa Boogie.

yeah. I'd like to hear Pepper do some sort of solo project. A 3 piece thing with him on vox.

I love this song! I also really like "Congratulations Song" which was the first COC song I heard. It was a part of my musical enlightenment in my freshmen year of college :rawk:

I also really like "Rise River Rise" off of In The Arms of God...

Though one of my absolute favorites is "Clean My Wounds" off of Deliverance!

That songs rocks so fucking hard! :rawk: I love cranking this one!!!

Whenever I get my computer set back up at home, I have some live COC shows on discs that I'll copy & send y'all. Some good stuff any COC fan will appreciate

They did a few tracks for a locally made LP record with several other hardcore bands from this area a few years before that. There was no 'crossover' about them then. I wasn't really into that style (was a metalhead), but a friend and I recorded one of the other bands for that LP in our small studio. It's a trip to realize how CoC have changed, but are still out there and going. That's quite cool.
