PSA - Premier Guitar Mystery Stocking

Post by rock flag and eagle »

It's that time of year again and looks like these aren't selling like they used to as they are still available. Deal is, $40 plus $5 for shipping, you might get a pedal or guitar, most people get stuff that was overstocked like straps, strings and picks, but you always at least get your moneys worth, of course it may be something you won't use. I think because of that, TGP isn't buying them up like they used to . I've gotten basic ones before but one year I got a Boss overdrive and another year I got a nice solderless patch cable kit.
The link is here if anyone wants to take their chances.

I bought one a few years ago. I definitely got more than $40 worth of accessories but it was mostly stuff I had no real use for. Still, I may give another shot this year. $40 is not a lot of money, I spend more than that on a night out.
Guitars:
'78 Les Paul Pro / '89 SG Special/ '04 Gibson Les Paul Classic 3 pickup / Jackson Star/ Endres Tele / Fernandes Rhoads/ ''74 Hohner MIJ strat/ 2 Partscasters

Amps:
Depends on when you ask. I got tired of constantly updating this section lol

Cabs
Marshall 1960A w V30s/ Seismic 2x12 w Redback and V30.

Yeah I've always ended up with more than $40 worth of stuff. Yes, most of the time it's nothing I have use for, but for $40 once a year on a mystery box, sure I'll do it.
Good luck guys, I can't wait to see what all of us get!

I bought one this go around as well. I have tried previous years but they have always been out of stock(ings) by the time I got through. This year they still seem to have some currently.

Mine is out for delivery today, its going USPS ground advantage which really means nothing. Based on what you can ship using that service, it could be a small box of stuff under 1 lb, or could also be as big as a guitar.
Also read that the insurance dollar amount means nothing too (USPS gives a standard up to $100 value) because Premier Guitar uses a 3rd party for the shipping insurance.
So it could be anything and until it shows up I at least get to dream it'll be something cool and usable

well no cool shit for me, I did get $65 worth of stuff that is somewhat usable.
1 Gloknob - retail 10
set of Santa Cruz baritone acoustic strings - retail 24
set of D'Addario NYXL strings - retail 12.99
30 pack of D'Angelico picks - retail 18.50

So I'll definitely use the D'Addario strings and the picks, maybe I'll tune an acoustic down low to use the acoustic strings.

I would use the NYXL's if they were 9s. I wouldn't use any of that other stuff.

I'm not feeling too good about getting an R9. :(

Fender Neon Monogram guitar strap $24.99
D'Addario black denim guitar strap $24.99
1 set D'Addario NYXL 10-46 (these are actually my strings of choice!) $12.99
Vknob replacement volume knob $12.95

All useful except for the bizzarro Vknob thing. Apparently it is useful for "swift volume swells and dynamic volume control while playing."

Two straps and a good pack of strings is not a bad haul.

Mine was set to be delivered Thursday. Then Friday. Then Saturday. Now its 9:00 tonight. I'm thinking the delay might be due to the large box an R9 ships in. Thats what I'm thinking.

A fender guitar strap (black with neon orange and green for maybe a JEM or something)

Martin bronze acoustic strings

D'Addario NYXLs 10-46(can use)

Multi contact output jack

V-knob (?) It goes around your volume knob for easier swells?

I didn't get an R9 but I did ok.

The good:

CF Martin trucker cap $25

Gibson multi-tool - $20

D'Addario NYXL strings 10-46 - $13 good strings, wrong size :(

Rockready black nylon strap - $10

Gloknob - $12

$80 worth of stuff but I'll probably only use the cap and the multi-tool.

The Gibson multi-tool is great. I have a couple of them in my guitar cases. Really well designed.
