The hideous headstock and poor choice of knob placement is actually very intentional and layered, as are most the brilliant artistic choices of tool. Your third eye is being pried open ala Kubrick’s “A Clockwork Orange” to observe the intentional subversive repulsiveness of the shape. Not only that, the angles perfectly coincide with the Fibonacci sequence/golden ratio and if you peer upon it while listening to the 432hz tuned “the holy gift” sequence of lateralus it all makes sense. The uncomfortable control layout is supposed to be just that… like much of the aspects of tools music, one is supposed to feel uncomfortable as it were, because as Maynard et Al. Have been trying to show us os that was he great unknown of psychedelic consciousness is also uncomfortable

Mediocre band. The thing that makes them exceptional is the fact that their fans are rabid animals.

I like the finish, like the V, inlays, get to the headstock and :freak: then notice the switch placement and right to DNW.

Swing and a open-air for miles miss.

ive tried so many times over the years to get into them and they just dont do it for me. their fans are crazy and there are plenty of them, i gotta give them props for that

Is this because overthinking and over analyzing separate the body from the mind?

Tool is probably my all time favorite band. Y’all can suck it! Jk. I don’t go deep in the lyrics. I listen to music as a whole, and lyrics are usually lost on me.

I’m listening to Dopapod now, I don’t know where they are from but if there was ever a band that sounds like it’s from Black Rock CT it would be them, I’m kind of excited to go now

Pretty sure they’re from Boston (and all Berklee grads). Their drummer lives here in Denver

Dopapod is fantastic, definitely one of my favorites. Catch ‘em live if gou get a chance!
