Sammy Hagar is doing a tour to celebrate Eddie Van Halen next year... Finally! It's about friggin time! Joe Satriani on guitar. They sound damn good! Hard to believe Sammy is 76.

I want to be excited about this but I don't know.

They need Al to make it sound like VH, IMO. I like Jason just fine but he is very different from AL.

The setlist is on the front page of redrocker.com and its pretty much the same as Sammy's family band show, which is a mix of Sammy's solo, VH and Montrose songs.

It seems like Sammy's regular thing...but with Satriani. It just doesn't seem like a tribute to Ed.

AND...Loverboy is the opener.
