Mick Mars Solo Album

Post by nightflameauto »

Article about the album.

Not a bad little tune. Not magical or anything. I'd like to see the guitars a bit more raw sounding. To me the last few moments of riffing have that crunch/punch Mick thing going on I wish was going on through the whole tune. Singer's better than Neil, but enough damning with faint praise.

It's cool enough to want to check out the album. :idk:

This is not too bad. Doesn't quite blow my skirt up on the first listen but the vocals are pretty damn good. I like the singers timbre. Guitar tones are excellent as one would expect from Mick. I don't know the whole story but from the outside looks like Crue did him dirty.

It's a sad story all the way around. Between the health issues and the way the rest are treating him? :nope:

I'm just glad the man can still make some music. Gotta be really freeing for him to do it without the drama club surrounding him.

No argument from me there. Love Mick and gus style. First riff I played when I got my SLO was Dr Feelgood.

I saw Crue with Mick on the tour they did with Alice Cooper some years ago and they sounded amazing. Even Vince sounded really good but I’m guessing the TC helicon was working overtime.

I was working at one of the venues they played on that tour. Yes, I think they had a little help on that tour. Mick and Tommy were live and Vince had a live mic but I'm pretty sure everything else was on a track. Nikki would take both hands off the bass and it would still be thumping.

I like it. Guitar sounds great for sure. The song is a bit too modern for me but really good overall
