Boom stand recommendations

I think I’m gonna grab a shure super 55 and would like to get a better stand than these cheap musicians gear stands. Any recommendations on good book mic stands for vocals? I have a decent size pedalboard that is in the way.

K&M is the price/quality sweet spot for me. I used to have a bunch of cheap stands and was constantly dealing with wobbliness and breaking. Got a set of 5 K&Ms a while ago for the whole studio. It sucked to spend that kind of money on stands, but you do it once and the problem is permanently solved. Better than constantly having to re-buy cheap shit. And if you just need one, the price is not too bad.

K&M are solid stuff..... if you're going to be breaking it down and moving it a lot that's the way to go for sure....... if its just for your rehearsal room, Gater frameworks is good

+1 for K&M. From the K&M boom mic stands I have, they are very high quality and reliable over very long term.

Yeah, I'd go with something decent, for sure. I have a few of those Gator mini booms, which are great for guitar, but they're kind of annoying. For bigger ones, I have 3 of these cheap ass Samson stands lol. I got them because they break down into a really small package, and I use them pretty infrequently, so I didn't see a need for expensive stands. But after having them for some years, a nice one or 2 might be nice.

I ended up getting this thing. The base is pretty beefy. I have a small boom attachment coming in today, because that angle is not enough for my big pedalboard.

My go-to for a very long time now is an old Tama mic stand probably from the 80's or 90's. It's heavy, chromed out, and will probably outlast me by centuries. Never seen another one like it though.
